Halo: The Fall of Reach

Enjoyed the story about how the Spartan program was created and the key people involved. It brought up an interesting theme of doing something morally wrong to save many others. While the film didn't give an answer to whether it was right or wrong, the exploration into it was intriguing.While some may knock the animation, It gave off late 90s, early 2000s animation which i think has its unique place in story telling. It gives off that street vibe that everything may not be pretty and perfect, but allows the story to take center stage, not the animation.

I really like Halo but this movie is ok. All of the characters felt very robotic. The writers of this script get a thumbs down. For a company that has a lot of money it wasn't that good.

really good movie just took so so long to get I thought i lived in USA but I guess not almost 3 weeks to get

If you're just starting out in the Halo Universe and wanting some backstory, this is a good movie to watch. It will explain how the Spartans came to be, how they were selected and then kidnapped when they were six, how they were trained, what they went through during augmentation. You'll see their first mission against the Insurrectionists and their first encounter with the Covenant. Most of all, you'll see the beginnings of 117 and how he came to be the Spartan he is.However,You will see nothing about the fall of Reach. I do not understand why they chose to name the movie The Fall of Reach when it only gives you a scene at the beginning and a scene at the end, neither of which tells you how the Covenant found Reach and the subsequent six week battle that ensued. If you want to know more about that aspect, then you'll have to buy the book and read it, sadly. Playing Halo Reach will give you some more insight, though not much considering it doesn't follow 117, but another Spartan and the fire team he joins.I will have to say though that the graphics and how it was made is quite unique and made the movie very, very enjoyable, which is why it retained the five star rating with me, regardless of the title and what the movie is actually about. If you love Halo and don't have the movie, I think you're missing out. Buy the movie, I think you'll like it.

Budget cutting feature but worth the watch

I had watched it some time ago, but my husband had never seen it. He wasIntrigued. It is well made, great story line in line with the Halo game series. Very informative and great Drama.

Loved the movie and the excellent and fast shipping.

Short but good movie retelling the story of how Master Chief came to be. Probably best suited for those really into the Halo game series, although I watched it having only seen my son play the game occasionally, and was able to follow it. Best selling point has to be the outer cover of the DVD. It looks really smart (slight holographic look to it with velvet feel) - for case alone, would recommend to other Halo fans who collect all the related merchandise, as it would look good on collector's shelf.

A bit short but at the price I can't complain to much and you get a idea of the Master Chief's origins He starts off a bit of a bully The sacrifice in creating the Spartan project is shown and the first mission is shown The bit with the armour fitting is fascinating You get to learn more about Dr Halsey and Jacob Keyes If you like Halo and the Master Chief this is worth watching

Animation is not the best but the story is interesting and worth watching!

Received it well.The issue I had was the dvd was not set properly so it had been moving around freely in the box. The disk looked fine.The other thing was there was a sticker on the cover which was hard to remove and left some tackyness.

Interesting cgi though I'm not familiar with the Halo universe and perhaps not the best film to start with if viewing all of them. Good value.
