Great product and service
I ordered this steamer to replace one I've had for a long time that was falling apart. I did a fair amount of research and looked at others that included metal construction. In the end, I liked the fact that the bands were on the top inner section as that is where my old one failed. And I liked the fact that they were aluminum - not stainless steel - which can rust over time. I also liked the increased depth over other models as it makes it easier when steaming large vegetables like broccoli.The product arrived and it looks like it is well built. We did have an issue with missing tongs, but the seller responded immediately, was very helpful and resolved the issue completely - excellent service. I like the quality of the product so far - it appears to be superior to the other unit I've had for awhile, so I expect this will last as well.

Excellent Investment
I bought this item to satisfy one of several assignments in a Rouxbe / Forks Over Knives cooking course. The steamer arrived safely, all pieces present, and appears to be well crafted. I set one bamboo tray and its cover over my 10" sauté pan, and steamed 12 different sliced vegetables to perfection. The bamboo imparted no odor or taste to the food, and the tray and cover cleaned perfectly with only hot water. This new tool is going to receive daily use!

We love this for dumpling steaming, and use it to steam greens as well. The metal rim is attractive, and reinforcing. Price well below similar item in stores.
