Is it just me or are all word searches nowadays created at a 6th grade level or lower? When I was a kid the word searches looked like the ones in this book. Small print, the letter bank took up the whole page, and the words were long. I could sit and work on the same puzzle for an hour or more.The last several I’ve ordered off Amazon are a joke. Everything’s in large print and the words are never over 8-10 letters in length. SO BORING. I wanted a challenge. It took me lots of searching to finally come across this ONE book that seems to offer a real challenge. I started a search last night and still haven’t finished it. My kids keep popping in and giving it a try, even they are encouraged by the fact that they can’t find the word immediately. I’m really glad I found this book, and I wish more publishers would put out material like it. But for now, we’ll enjoy this one and hope for more by the time it’s finished.While this book is certainly challenging (“adult level” by today’s standards), and the words are long and foreign, don’t sell the kids short- present them with a challenge and they will rise to the occasion. My 7yo is looking for the shorter words, my 12yo is trucking right along with me.
