three Christmas wishes
I love Sheila Roberts. You learn to love the characters in her books. She adds great humor and romance without explicit parts.

Cute story
I read Christmas stories anytime of the year. Love them! Especially if there is a "real" Santa. And, yeah, I'm hoping to meet him someday! Sooo a real Santa and three women having a difficult holiday season meet and....Riley is so excited for this Christmas season. Her perfect Christmas wedding is all planned. Then, with no warning, her fiance phones her the day before Thanksgiving to tell her it's off. He has fallen in love with her co-worker (and bridesmaid) and has just hasn't been sure how to tell her. Whoa, three weeks before the wedding and it is all over. Poor Riley. Her sister Jo is also having difficulty. Her baby is due any day and her husband is still away at sea. She just isn't sure that she wants to be a Navy wife any longer. Their friend Noel is also having a difficult time. She has been renting her dream home for two years when her landlady decides she has to sell it and Noel doesn't have the money to buy it. Then a trip to a shopping mall and a talk with Santa seems to set changes in motion. I really enjoyed this story. Noel and Riley are great characters (I didn't care as much for Jo's whining) and their stories were great. It was especially nice that the stories were entwined and not written separately. It's October now but I'm in the mood for Santa! No sexual situations to offend any readers

A Sweet, Witty Book!
This was book turned out to be exactly what I needed, a sweet, witty, funny story that began with heartache and disappointment for a teacher, a writer and a fashion consultant until they decide to visit Santa at the mall. When he prophesies that each woman will have a new man in their life, his vision for them is met with disbelief, especially because the teacher has just been jilted by her fiancée three weeks before their wedding, the writer’s dream of buying the home she has been renting has been dashed and the fashion consultant’s husband is re-upping to serve again with he Navy as she awaits the birth of their daughter.Along the way their friends and family encourage them to reach for happiness and realize their dreams with confidence, hope and the ability to realize that we need to give others the opportunity to fulfill their dreams.I was conflicted between rating this book a 4 or a 5, but settled on the 5, especially when I reached the end of the story and had such a feel-good vibe. It was just what I needed! I really appreciated the writing style and the perfection in editing! I didn’t cringe one time for grammatical errors. If you are looking for a lusty, steamy read this won’t be for you but you will find humor and sweet romance.

Get your Christmas spirit on!
This was a cute Christmas story, and the first book I think I have read by this author. Sisters Riley and Jo and their friend Noel decide to make a trip to see Santa at the mall like they did as children. When Santa grants each of them a wish they take it in stride and continue on with their lives. Riley is a school teacher who was just dumped by her fiance 3 weeks before their wedding....for her bridesmaid and fellow teacher Emily. Jo is a Navy wife who is 9 months pregnant, wants her husband home, and he wants to reenlist. Noel is a children's book illustrator who is moderately successful and does not have the money to buy her house (that she loves!) that her landlady wants to sell in a big hurry. Things get real interesting when a house flipper steps in to buy it and Noel sets out to stop him. It really does not hurt that he is easy on the eyes! What each of them go through to get what they want makes for a very entertaining read! I got what I was looking for in this story, a feel good, lighthearted Christmas tale!

Light holiday reading
Three women have relationship issues. Jo, who is 9 months pregnant, is a Navy wife whose husband is at sea when the story opens. She wants him to leave the Navy and stay home with her and the coming baby permanently instead of reenlisting as he wants to do. Her sister Riley, an elementary school teacher, is engaged to Sean. Her wedding is only 3 weeks and 2 days away when he suddenly dumps her for someone else -- Emily, another teacher at her school, good friend, and bridesmaid in her wedding. Their friend Noel is an author of children's books. Her books are modestly popular and thus far have only brought her modest financial success. She is renting a house she loves and wants to buy. She's tried to work out an arrangement with her landlady, but since the woman wants to sell the house quickly and for more money than Noel can afford, she sells it to a (handsome) house flipper instead. Noel embarks on a campaign to convince the man to sell the house to her. Everything eventually ends happily for all 3 women. I was most interest in Riley's story. An excerpt from the book pre-release that told the dramatic beginning to her story prompted me to read the book. I must say that I was pleased that the author did not go in the direction that Riley and Emily later made up and became friends again. I've seen that scenario in other books and think that is totally unrealistic. In real life, who would EVER be friends again with the woman who stole your man, especially if the friend had been as close as Riley and Emily were supposed to have been? Overall, this was a light, feel-good holiday offering. For those who like steamy sex in their books, be advised there are no sex scenes at all in this one.
