Wild Herb Naturally Refined Shea Butter 2 LB

I have tried many, many brands of Shea with many people enteringthis business of "repacking" Shea in expensive containers.It is the butter and the processing, not the container, that matters to us.This is the best....UNIQUE, Minimally Processed, Pure Clean and predictable.This vendor has delivered consistent fresh product for the past two years.We use this butter for a layer of heavy protection from extreme cold.This butter cured long standing skin problems, and keeps us comfortableat cold high altitudes.This is a large sealed bag of clean butter, not RAW.It does not behave or smell like raw Shea.It has practically no smell.This butter has different consistencies depending on the temperature.Above 90 degrees, it behaves like an olive oil, because all the waxes can loosen and melt.I see many comments about "GRIT" in the texture.This is because Minimally processed Shea has different oils and waxes with differing melting points.Depending on where and how you keep the butter, cooler temps allow some of the waxes to hardeninto tiny particles, that will melt on contact with your skin. There is NO GRIT in the 20 odd pounds we received.There can however be actual grit in RAW Butter, where the RAW materials can make the product feel creamy and smooth but smell foul and degrade.We choose this Shea because it has this consistency, rather than emulsifiers and additives that process out the natural waxes.There are many uses for this product.Keep a tennis ball sized chunk by the bath for after bath.

Odorless and the consistency is great. Same consistency as unrefined shea. I orders 5lbs and the second I opened the package and massaged some in my hands, i came straight on amazon and orders 20lbs. I found my new supplier for refined Shea bc i used to use bulk apothocary and theyre ALWAYS sold out and im over waiting. Thanks Wild Herb!

Ok where do I begin .. shipping was fast came before time. I give two stars for that. Now as for Refined Shea Butter this is my first time using in a DYI personal body butter. and my last... This Refined Shea Butter was melted when I received it and when preparing my DYI mix it liquified quickly however when I place it in the refrigerator it harden nicely ......BUT it was very grainy , lumpy and greasy. Unrefined Shea butter Im coming back to you.... lumpy photos see above..

I’ve purchased this exactly 1 month ago and already it has a terrible grainy quality to it. I do not melt my Shea butter, but instead whip at room temp. Grainyness will not leacpve unless you melt it. Very disappointed

Love this product. Love this company and will definitely be buying it again. I use it in everything I make from shaving cream to lipstick. Oh yeah.

This shea butter is really great. I'd been using unrefined shea butter and didn't like the smell. This one has no odor. The only problem is that it has a grainy texture. There were directions included on how to get rid of the grainyness, which is to melt it in a double boiler for a while. This worked for a while, but the grainyness came back. It makes it a little harder to melt in my hands (I put it on my palm, and rub my palms together.)

It took me two purchases to realize it was this Shea Butter that was the culprit making my body butters all grainy. Nobody likes spreading grainy body butter on so I can say for certain I won’t be buying this brand of Shea Butter again
