This hydroponic system was super easy to set up and came with everything listed in the description. I had seeds on hand and used them in the included planting sponges. All of them except one has sprouted and all are doing well. The light is on an automatic timer, so I've literally been able to set it and forget it. It's really nice during the week when I don't have time to always check on things. The internal pump is very quiet. Definitely recommend for anyone wanting an affordable hydroponic for herbs or greens they grow themselves!

Update 9/27/22: this company sent my dad and his wife a brand new unit after theirs failed within a year. New respect for this seller!!I purchased this for my dad and his wife as a Christmas gift in 2021. They set it up in January 2022 and have loved it until…well this week. Not even a year and it’s not working. I did not purchase protection because I figured if they get a few years out of it, that it will pay for itself, but not even a year? If seller can rectify this I will be happy to amend the review. My dad is working with them right now but they needed the order number. Hoping all goes smoothly

Easy Easy Easy!! The setup was easy and making sure the tank stayed full with water is a no brainer...easy-to-use. I had my first harvest and the fresh dill and lettuce was delicious. Lettuce yield enough for 3-4 days of eating. All from two seeds!! The dill was from one seed. Setup was easy, I soaked the sponges in warm distilled water ( heated some water in the microwave) Dropped a seed in the sponges, and added the plant food to the water as instructed, topped each with the plastic lid...once it sprouts, remove plastic lid and watch the magic happen. I've started my second growth cycle with romaine, arugula and spinach. I also ordered another one to grow more veggies. Love it...No Green Thumb Needed 👍🏽

Product is easy to use. It does take some time to assemble and allow seeds to sprout but that’s implied. I wasn’t prepared for how bright the product is. It stays on for 12-14hrs and it’s on part of the night due to when I started it.I had to put a box over it because even with my bedroom door closed I can still see it’s light. Would be fine if I lived in a big house but in my 1 bedroom apartment I’m limited on places to put it! Just something to think about if you have limited space.

This product worked great while it lasted; unfortunately, that wasn’t very long. I enjoyed a couple months use of it, growing plants from seed, and getting roots on some clippings, but it has broken already. It will power on when plugged in, but the touch buttons no longer work, so I cannot actually turn the lights on or the water pump either. I would have left a five star, if it had made it longer than a couple months. Not worth the money for just a short time of use. Very disappointed it didn’t last long, and will plan to try a different brand next time.

This unit is my first experience with hydroponics. I admit I did a lot more research after purchasing this... That said, I'm now not sure whether this is a DWC (Deep Water Culture) or Kratky setup. There is a very small and weak air pump at the bottom of the tank (barely any bubbles at all), but it does NOT pump nowhere near enough air for a standard DWC setup (which in this case should be around 8 gph) and it also switches on and off every 30 minutes (DWC requires 24hr air pumping). If you fill the water to the MAX level, then it's too high for Kratky. The manual does NOT have instructions on maintaining water level, so that further adds confusion whether this is a DWC or Kratky setup.My guess is that this works as a Kratky with some aeration. However the water should NOT be filled to the MAX level; it should be lower in order for the plants to create air roots.Anyway I had to return this unit because the air pump seemed to have stopped working in a number of days. I suspected something was wrong because I was noticing root rot (brown roots) of some transplants I had put in this unit, with the water at MAX level, and roots completely submerged.Another con is that the pods are very tightly spaced (about 2 inches apart), so as your plants grow, I suspect they will block the light to each other.My research also tells me that it's harder to maintain pH the smaller the tank. I haven't had this long enough to make that determination.Overall it's not a bad unit. It's a great value compared to the big name brand. It's probably good for very small plants. The light is great. Not sure if I'd plug in the air pump wire. Instead I'd use it as a Kratky tank.

This hydroponic grow system has given me a green thumb. This is the first time I have been able to successfully grow my own herb and vegetables. Definitely comparable to the aerogarden at a better price.

Worked great, until it didn't work any longer. I was so upset to have just started a new batch of seeds and it was on this morning and within an hour completely stopped working. I tried all the trouble shooting tips and tricks, checked wires and even the outlet itself, nothing worked, it won't even power on or function at all. Very disappointing to already have to buy another.
