Good crank at a good price.
Not sure if this is a subsidiary company of Raleigh but the brand stamped on is SunRace.Purchased this in April for my other half's bike rebuild and seems do be doing its job. It's well built and for the price and next day delivery, one cannot go wrong. The gears are riveted together (but made look like cap heads ) so can not be changed when worn-out but again at this sort of price its not an issue to me.The original box needs some re-thinking as mine arrived lightly damaged but due to time constraints I couldn't be asked to send it back as it's hardly visible and quick fixed with a file and black sharpy.Overall I would buy an other one if needed it going next day at a tiny budget, as long as the front derailleur is set correctly the plastic outer ring should stay in place for some time as its pretty flexible with the option to take it out by removing the screws.

Raleigh Triple chain set
I bought a 2nd hand bike which seemed a ridiculously low asking price for the make and spec. I found the crank sprockets were all worn so purchased this.I did expect better quality and finish of the component itself, Raleigh ain't what it was when I was a kid.It does the job though 👍

Seems well made and fairly light
These shorter cranks help my 9 year old get a far better pedalling position.Seems to be a well made crank, fits fine and is pretty light given is has steel chain rings - the pair of arms and rings weighed in at 771g total. Not sure what Raleigh has to do with anything the crank is a SunRcae crank as can been seen in the picture. The chain rights are riveted on - not normally an issue but the rivets have been styled to look like hex bolts so better to know that they aren't really.Rings are a 42-34-24 set which is also slightly odd, compared to the normal 42-32-22.The plastic guard on the outside is easily removed if you don't want it, just a few screws.

The outer, plastic, chain guard broke off on ...
The outer, plastic, chain guard broke off on my second cycle with it on and bent the metal of the biggest year.If you're thinking of buying this because it's cheap, don't. You'll have to replace it almost immediately. Either spend a little more on something else or find a different cheap chainset and avoid the brand Raleigh at all costs.UPDATE: Oh my goodness this thing is terrible. Not only did all the plastic break off instantly, but the metal threads wore away after an additional 15 miles taking my pedal with it.Raleigh almost stranded me in Southampton, tens of miles from my bed. Thankfully, I managed to hobble together a temporary pedal using a chain de-linker and some zip ties that I got from a stranger, so I arrived at the station in time and managed to make it to my degree show the next day, though with very little sleep, and sore all over.Do not, under any circumstances, buy or put any trust into Raleigh. You are risking injuring yourself, or at the very least, missing appointments and events.
