Komelon Usa 416-535C Big John Tape Measure& 35 Ft. X 1 In.& Nylon Coated Blade

Always wanted a metal tape measure, this one here reminds me of the one my dad had. Works very well, is an excellent tape measure and the kind you can not find anymore at the big box retailers.

Don't see this tape very many places. Wanted a tough tape, long plus one that feels good in the hand. A lot of tapes have superior nylon coating but they are big and square like a big FAT BRICK! I hate those!! Hard to carry,...bulky in the hand, and unnecessarily heavy. I don't want a hammer,... just a slick reliable tape measure. So I avoid maxx tapes that are fat & gave B-John a try.This Komelon John feels great in the hand,.. long 35 ft length, and more compact that the Fat Bricks! I like the chrome smooth feel and no rubber bumpers to grab things. I can even put this bad boy in my pocket & I could never do with the FAT ones. Should get many years of service IF I don't use it as a hammer! Highly recommend for the money.Komelon's main products are usually the bright green /yellow tapes & are also a good value. I have several of those. But Big John's smooth, compact finish, the extra length, and quality spring return is a good combination of plusses so am glad I took a chance. At about 11 dollars this is a good deal in my book!

A coworker of mine had one of these about 5 years back and I noticed he never had an issue with it! Looked into it a bit more and told me I needed a “Big John”. Well me being stubborn stuck it out with a Stanley classic 35’ for a few more years. The Stanley’s bent, visible measurements wore off, the ends popped off after abuse, and the worst part of all is that I was never able to get 35’ out of a 35’ Stanley tape! If I pulled it out to 33’ then it usually became unsprung and never went back in. This Komelon does tend to roll a little when you stick it out a bit but I really like the coating on the tape itself! I’ll probably buy another one of these before this one wears out because it is that good and a great value!
