Such a strange lamp
To start off, it arrives in a cardboard box which has absolutely loads of cardboard inside, to protect that unusually shaped glass surround. With this I expected some difficulty in assembly, and I was right. They do provide a bulb, the bulb is hidden inside its own box inside the glass housing. I will take a photo to show you how much cardboard waste was made from this box, to show that this is extremely well packaged, and perhaps a little too well packaged. The provided fold is a e27 4watt 3000K bulb in the shape of a round globe with an exposed filament slip. I think this forms the bulk of the retro designThey provide a tiny allen key for adjustment.I have provided a photo of the instructions in case you lose them.I had to knock a star down because of the difficulty in assembling. It's actually not hard to follow the instructions but quite difficult to maintain the manual dexterity to squeeze part C which is the base and at the same time tighten a screw which is meant to go into one of the notches in the pipes so that it fits on perfectly it's slightly tricky without an extra pair of hands so if you have someone to help you I'd recommend itIn the instructions they also don't clarify that you need to remove the lampshade cover first then put on the lamp shade and then tighten on the cover once again. This is relatively obvious if you've ever used a lamp in your life, however the onus is upon the seller to make the instructions suitable for absolutely everyone. The end result is a lamp that you can't adjust, can't change brightness on, can't tie up the cable and hide, and you can't turn on and off without directly touching the switch. However it's quirky and I like it. And I'm sure if you're reading all of this nonsense then you probably like it enough to consider it, so if you can put it with a slightly tricky assembly, slightly skew design, and poor instructions, thent is a fantastic showpiece lamp
