Starrett is still the best, this scale is a classic. Sometimes the flexible ones are too whippy, this is a nice reference.

A solidly made (19mm x 1+mm cross section) and inflexible short steel rule with 2 sets of 0-150mm etched graduations on each side. Each side has a scale with one mm intervals and one with half mm intervals - the scales run in opposite directions and run to the end of the rule, so whichever way you hold it, there is a scale running in the right direction for you (although it may be numbered upside down).Recommended

It's a sturdy piece of metal. Appears to be accurate but just doesn't work if your right handed ...

Starrett stuff is old fashioned, beautifully made, accurate and though expensive, fantastic value for money. Ditch all the thin wispy rules and purchase this super tool. It is lovely and a delight to use.

Great. Double scale is very handy yet also easiest to read of the ones I’ve tested.
