Great delivery time!
Can't wait to see it again. I was the supervising sound editor on this film.

Great movie BUT
Beautiful move, unfortunately less than an hour. This movie convinces me to use my brain not my braun. One slip and there goes your future.

No more Blu-ray?
National Geographic has sold out and dishoners those who enjoy libraries of tangible media. They are getting away from the 4k, 3d, Blu-ray, etc, etc, because they don't care about those who do. For instance, the"Free Solo" documentary -Alex Honald. Is it on Blu-ray Disc; no! It's all about their money and not you. So much for backwards compatibility.

iMAX . Extreme
I love surfing and water sports , I grew up on the beach as a kid living in Sydney Australia . This movie was awesome from big wave surfing to windsurfing , it just blew me away . Climbing frozen waterfalls to rock climbing . I can appreciate how dangerous it is for those men and women athletes on how they challenge mother nature and to be on top of their game because you wont get a second chance if your not.I was interested in how they filmed in Imax and to all camera men/ women and people associated with shooting documentaries, I give five stars

Extreme! Great cinematography and soundtrack!
Great IMAX movie for fans of the genre!I waited for YEARS after seeing this for the first time (and multiple times thereafter)! Contacted the makers of it and finally received word that this was out on Blu Ray.Viewing on a 120" projection screen with 1080p projector and great sound system.....WOW!!!! Clarity, sound, cinematography are terrific! This is a MUST have for any IMAX fans or folks desiring to show off BIG SCREEN capabilities!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

What should be the first blu-ray to buy for your library?
I recently upgraded to a blu-ray player and then the decision was what would be the first discs that I would want to be the start of the new library. This movie was one of the first things that came to my mind because the photography and action is truly amazing. Something I will definitely watch many times. If you love the outdoors and incredible settings, buy this disc!

As old classic
Hard to believe but this movie is about 15 years old. Much of what they're doing is still extreme. Nice mix of different sports.

OK film, didn't live up to the hype.
This needed way more intense scenes throughout. It was OK, but we were thinking it would be non-stop exhilaration. More of the surfing and some intense skydiving and such. Wife said, "you spent how much on that?" Enough said, sorry.

gorgeously picturesque blu-ray
The scenery of this blu-ray is as gorgeously shot as what I expected. What I didn't expect was the overall sense of harmony with sport and nature that each extreme athlete experiences. This beautiful film has a very hypnotic effect and left me wanting more. (approx. 45 min. total - chapter headings: Tow-in Surfing, Giant Waves, Mountain Climbing, Skiing, Snowboarding, Man and the Mountain, Windsurfing, Adrenaline Rush, Rock Climbing, Nature as Art.) The Making Of is just as interesting, but again, runs a little short at approx. 22min. I can really watch this again and again, so highly recommended for fans of extreme sports or great blu-ray scenery etc.

good attempt, poor execution
excessive, constant dance tune sound track totally removes from the incredible scenic beauty, and cannot turn down volume unless you don't care about narration -- mediocre shooting of sports action, the best of which is the skiing and the worst of which is the surfing: all but skiing looks like a bunch of edit-room floor scraps -- in essence, as one experienced with some of the sports illustrated, this flik doesn't really bring you into the vibe of the moment, and nor does it bring you into the moments of gazing out onto the incredible vistas that i am sure the sport-actors were awed by
