Super cute kittens! The ceramic is high quality. It's small. For me, it's not large enough as a standalone cup and is well suited to using with a tea pot.

I must say this first. The cup is small. Probably around 6-8 oz. But I find that it would be perfect for small servings of tea and coffee. It kinda tricks my brain into thinking I'm drinking more coffee than what I am because of how many times I go to refill. The small size allows me to finish the coffee off first before it gets cold and the rest of the coffee to stay on the hot plate that is my coffee pot.The design of the cup, mainly around the rim, is sort of weird to work around. If you're not careful then it's easy to spill some of your drink.The handle itself is sort of awkward to hold, do those with larger hands might have a hard time with it. I actually wish it didn't have the handle as the cup is a perfect fit in my hand. But the material does get hot.The cup arrived completely intact, which I was worried about due to the material, no cracks or chips in sight. I know some people have noticed that the design is not handpainted due to the designs looking very similar. But that's not a problem for me.I'm not exactly sure if it is microwaveable or dishwasher safe, the 'thank you' and 'product overview" cards came in Japanese, so unless you can read kanji you might have to look it up. Overall. Good cup.

Bought for my mom, she complained about my big mug coffee cups for tea so i bought her this cute little cup...i love it and she did as well, it's small and perfect for a cup of tea!! A little expensive for this liitle cup but....

I like cats. A lot. I love them. I like Japanese ceramics. I have not been to the Japanese ceramic/imports stores in my city since before the pandemic began. I hope they have survived but I fear they may not have done so. I saw this on Amazon last year. It was in and out of my cart several times.Recently I was having a bout of my chronic recurring depression. Two months of it. Terrible. I needed to go to known self help methods from past bouts of depression. Among them is a bit of retail therapy. I also have been drinking some green tea for health reasons. So I now had an excuse to but this for myself. It was a health issue. ;-)This and other self help methods that helped in the past have begun to help me (finally) this week. I cannot guarentee that this mug will assist to cure your depression as it did mine. But it is darn cute. (I think there is a matching teapot but I honestly own way too many teapots. No more places to put even one more teapot. Just enough room for one small mug.)

If you are expecting an American-size mug, you will be disappointed. Keep in mind, this was made by an artisan from Japan. This is a small [small] mug meant for a nice tea or specialty coffee to be sipped at leisure, not guzzled in the hour before heading out to work. It's very cute.

This has an adorable design with amazing detail and the mug is very sturdy, keeping hot drinks warm. It was a bit larger than expected but is the perfect size for a double espresso.
