Thrilling and Spooky !
Fans of Stephen King - you should definitely read this book. These college tales are terrifying indeed. I read one of them at night, couldn’t sleep for the longest time. Chandrima is a brilliant writer and her stories are visual. Loved not only the stories but also her writing style.

Just awesome!
The way Chandrima Das has written this book, just.... Chef's kiss! There wasn't even a single page where I can say that I'm getting bored, all of the 10 stories are spine chilling, creepy and interesting as hell. Beware! It can make you stay up whole night, and make you look around yourself, haha sorry for this. And lastly... I totally recommend this to you if you're really into horror stuff and specially if you are a college student like me, you're totally gonna love this. The book cover is 5/5 the writing is 4.9/5 and the packaging was also really good. Loved it.

Horror Trope Demystified with 10 Terrific Campus Stories
I loved these campus horror stories — a new genre in itself.10 Chapters. 10 Stories. 10 Days.Yes, that's how I read this book every night religiously before going to bed for 10 consecutive days. These stories are not your boogie-woogie horror stories. They have a good pacing, upping the ante as each chapter progresses. What I liked about these tales were the author took her sweet little time to establish the place, character and the final act — the horror event itself. It was outstandingly etched out in an organic, no-nonsense manner. These stories happen in well-reputed national institutions from IITs to NITs to other academic centres spread all over India — from Shillong to Shimla, from Hyderabad to Manipal, from Delhi to Pune.We have characters ranging from friends, lovers, hostel wardens and college security and those abandoned eerie buildings.I won't be getting into the nitty-gritty of each stories, as it has to be experienced, I feel.I have a couple of favourite stories."Ghost of a Chance" that happens in IIT Kanpur about a young dejected college boy who tries committing suicide and the ghost that he meets thereafter."Pen for Your Thoughts" takes place in St Bede's College in Shimla. It is a story of a young collegegoer Aditi and her discovering a haunted pen and how it changes her thoughts. But I loved reading all the 10 tales. Each had a different tone and narrative style that was gripping and terrifying simultaneously.Go for it, even though Halloween is over and Christmas is here — you won't regret a wee bit.A highly promising and talented debut women author to look out for in the future.

Stories alluding to legends and myths
This book by Chandrima Das is a collection of short stories set in different college campuses. The stories allude to existing myths and legends, situating them however in a modern day situation. The speciality of these stories however is that these stories are as much stories of the supernatural as they are deeply personal stories. Stories about human emotions, thoughts, decisions and interactions... which are what really kinda make up the human psyche. The stories move visually with the writing, which is like a continuous frame in which there is never a dull moment. Lot to look forward to from the author carving a niche in a very much explored genre in Indian literature!!

The most beautiful and thrilling book I've ever read.
10 days 10 stories. A thrilling horror story full of suspense like a sigh on the one hand and a story from which one can learn a lesson which teaches us that we should never accept any fact that is a folk tale if it is related to ghosts. We should believe it with our own knowledge and wisdom and also teach that injustice should never be tolerated face to face, but should be protested in the right way. And these two aspects are presented in a very beautiful way Chandrima Das wrote this through this book. What a wonderful writing. At first glance it would seem that yes these incidents which we are hearing are true but at the last moment it has been explained with logic and teaching that do not believe in folklore. Realize the truth by believing in yourself. The most beautiful book I've ever read. I hope the author will give us more such thrilling ghost and beautiful educational story later. Thank You 😊

Absolute spine-chiller
Chandrika Das' stories are the kind that send more than a shiver down the spine and make for fast reading. Haunted buildings, possessed people and finally a forest that had been captured by an evil supernatural force fill the pages. There is even a sweet ghost which is rather helpful. What gave me the ultimate chills was when one of the innocent characters died in a story due to the irresponsibility of the person whom he accompanied to a spooky place. Ok, no more spoilers. Get ready to get moderately frightened to plain petrified.

A collection of super-engaging spooky college tales, and an ideal introduction to the genre
I'm not much of a reader, and even when I do read, this is usually the last on the list of my go-to genres. However, I must admit, once I opened this book, I was utterly unable to put it down till I'd read the last page.I think that happened because of the very relatable nature of storytelling, which makes reading this book less like flipping through pages and more like sitting by the fireside in a cozy setting where you friend tells you an anecdote from her own life.Chandrima's strength is that she makes you put yourself into the character's shoes, and takes you back in time to your campus and to the local folklore and terrible tales; to a time when your mind was open enough accept things that didn't completely sit right with your worldview. I'd strongly recommend everyone to read this, especially if you find yourself averse to the genre, and find a whole new dimension to it.

Perfect for reading clubs
Quite a fast paced enjoyable read. Ten stories differ widely in their setting, scare levels and style. My favorite one is the one set in Pune’s Ferguson College, which is a not so subtle exploration of toxic relationships.I’d recommend a slow read, savor each story separately. If I had to pick one flaw, I’d saw that the order of the stories is not my preferred sequence. So I reread some of the stories again.
