I put powdered ginger in my oatmeal every morning and bake with it fairly frequently, so I go through more than probably most people. The individual bottles from the market get crazy expensive when you cost it out by the ounce, so I came to Amazon for a more cost friendly alternative. Healthworks Ginger comes at a great price and in packaging that keeps the product fresh. I refill my daily shaker bottle and store the open bag, well wrapped with a rubber band, in my pantry. Today, when emptying the last of the package into the bottle, the aroma and flavor are as pungent and fresh as the day I opened the package.Great price, reliable quality and, best of all, delicious & aromatic product. So today I'm on my 3rd, and probably not last, order of this powdered ginger.

I wasn't expecting it to be as strong as it is, and started out with a heaping teaspoon. Too strong. I now use a quarter teaspoon in a large mug every evening at bedtime instead of the chamomile tea that really wasn't working for me. It is soothing and helps me get drowsy for bed. I also use it for it's anti-inflammatory properties.I wouldn't say it tastes like fresh ginger. In my experience, nothing tastes like fresh except fresh ginger! But that said, this is more convenient and an acceptable substitute for most uses. For example, I'd stick with fresh in a stir fry. This bag will last me a very long time, even if I use it occasionally to make ginger cookies, ginger bread or carrot soup in addition to tea.I am keeping it in an airtight container to keep it fresh as long as possible. I am quite happy with the purchase.

As recently been diagnosed with cancer I looked all over the Internet for anything that could be used to combat the disease. I purchased this because there were many articles about the use of Ginger to kill cancer cells - I Hope and Pray that it works and no, I'm not not going for treatment and just using herbs and other foods.When I first got this I took a Teaspoon, put it in hot water with some Honey and WOW, what a kick!!! Now I put a teaspoon a day in my morning coffee with some honey and it really tastes good. I'm not sure if it's actually doing any good but anecdotally I can tell you that I am feeling better these days. The cancer for caught early so the effect of the disease hasn't been much - I can still exercise - walk, lift weights etc. - without any loss of strength.Treatment will be going on for several months so I'll update this when and if I find out anything regarding the effectiveness of Ginger - I'll even talk to my Doctor and see what she thinks.Oh, take a look at the Recipe for Ginger Tea - "Bring water to a bowl" Needed a proof reader as I'm assuming they meant Bring water to a Boil!!!God Bless

Great value & flavor. Just know there will be some i dissolvable sludge in bottom of mug if used for tea but def not a deal breaker. Would be perfect in baking, cooking. Very strong, fresh flavor,

Good consistency, not to strong, good amount for price

I use this on my salads and with my cereal. Nice taste! No lumps, a very fine powder. Intend to buy more because I use a lot of this! Top quality!Just purchased two more bags of this stuff! Love the stuff. Great consistent quality throughout the entire bag of ginger. It has a bit of a hot bite to it, which I like. I've noticed a couple of changes to my health since I've been adding tons of this to my food. I am 74. It could be coincidence, but my ankles, lower legs and feet are nice and thin now, whereas before there was some slight swelling. Ginger do that? My blood sugar levels have also improved, although they were pretty good before. Fasting blood sugar 90 or less, and two hour post prandial around 90 after a low sugar meal and around 126 after a higher sugar meal. Ginger do that? It's too much of a coincidence.Anyway... switched over to this brand of ginger because I can get two bags every three months on Subscribe and Save.
