Got this package for our club where we cook steaks weekly for our members. They are quick to read the temperature and accurate. They are not instant read, but climb quicker than other thermometers we ordered, but not as fast as some instant read ones that we purchased previously. For the price they worked as good as we needed. I didnt like the left hand only design. You cant read from the right since it only opens one way. Also we had one magnetically stuck on a stove next to the grill where it was close to the heat and the plastic cover peeled off the front leaving just the black and white read out display. Lesson learned. Battery life seems reasonable and easy to change. Hope this helps others.

I always seem to get my steaks overdone and this helps get it right. I like my steaks medium so 5 min on both sides to sear and about 2-3 minutes at medium heat to get it right. Sounds easy but the difference between 2 or 3 minutes can make it overdone or underdone. Also chicken at 165 is moist and tender.I am not sure this is better than others but it works precisely and is cheap.

Updated 03/25/23 - they made it right. It’s still working, albeit not as good as my all clad, but not nearly as bad as their first version. I’m glad they read their reviews.Update: 10/27/21 I will say this - their customer service is good as they want to make this right. They upgraded their model and sent me the new one to test, free of charge. So far, so good. I have not yet given it the “water” test but the new one also comes with the detachable probe as well as the attached one. I need to cook something and compare it’s accuracy to my all clad, but it seems to work well. I’m bumping up to 4 stars for the customer service.. will drop to 1 if it fails the water test.Just received today and used to monitor my pork roast. First, if I were to compare with my all clad, I like the fact that this is so much easier to use. Just flip it open and go. It folds up tight and no long cord to contend with. The screen is easy to read (even without my glasses!) and it works fast. I’m pleased so far with my purchase. If I have any issues, I’ll amend this review down the line.UPDATE: 05/04/2021. The first one died about 3 weeks ago. New battery did not fix it. The digital screen is just messed up. The second one died when it went in the sink yesterday. These are NOT WATERPROOF. Waterproof means it can be submerged without issue. Even water resistant can get wet without issue. These cannot handle getting wet.

This is a nice pair of thermometers. You can keep one as a spare, give it as a gift, or put one in a different place. They work great, and I love the fact that they have a light to see the temp (grilling in dark). The temp difference between them was less that 0.5F when I used them side by side in hot coffee. The response time is really good. They also have a strong magnet, in case you want to use it.Overall, a happy buyer! Hopefully they will last a few years. Only time will tell.

This 2 pack instant read thermometer exceeded my expectations. Super easy to use, the backlight is nice to have if working when it is dark, measurements are quick and accurate. This is the perfect companion when cooking on the griddle or grill and you want to know the internal temp of your BBQ or whatever! Build quality seems pretty good especially considering the low cost.

This is a very good and straight forward instant read thermometer. I do a lot of grilling, smoking and cooking. I used to just always go off of touch, time and look which worked well, however having an instant read let’s me really take things to a new level. The price and value of getting two devices is great as well. You will be happy with this thermometer.
