Way more impressive with light coming through it…
There is the temptation to find a way to turn this in to a suncatcher as the stone looks so dark in the box, but the magic happens when light comes through the stone and catches on the different colors.I got two stones (from different companies), one for me, one for the kiddo, I’ll keep this for myself as it is just barely the 2 inches, and the other is lighter and shows the rainbow aspect better, even without light casting through it.

Doesn’t compare to the Amazon Pic
I am dissatisfied and disappointed in the color clarity. The Amazon picture is vibrant and shows distinct colors. In person it is meh.

Disappointing
I should know better than to buy stones online, but I was suckered by the listing photo and ordered the labradorite point against my better judgment. The positive aspects: It arrived nicely packaged in a gift box, which is great for gifting if you are so inclined. The cut of the stone was really nice, too (I was actually surprised by this). HOWEVER, the stone itself is probably the saddest example of labradorite I've encountered. It's so...watery and nearly transparent that I thought it was a moss agate at first. I turned it around several times at different angles looking for the hallmark "flash" that give labradorite its special quality and found a couple weak little spots on one side. Super disappointed. The picture I've included here shows the best side of the point I received (on the right, obviously) next to a palm stone at the same price point ($8). There should be, at a minimum, a dark greenish hue throughout the stone with no milkiness or near-transparency. Good flash can manifest in several colors, but it should be bold and saturated. This point has none of this going for it.I've learned my lesson and will never order labradorite online again (unless it's from a genuine lapidarist). If you're ordering one of the other stones which are meant to be transparent (I wouldn't chance the obsidian), you will probably love your stone. The packaging and the cut are quite nice, but the quality of this particular stone itself is incredibly disappointing.

Good Quality Crystal
Its tiny but its only 2 inches, as advertised. The crystal is cut beautifully, without rough edges. Each side cut is done smoothly, evenly and straight. The crystal stands upright just fine on its own. It's also a really pretty smoky dark gray color, with flecks of other colors throughout. Its hard to capture in photos but it's really eye catching in person. I really like this piece. It fits in well with the rest of my crystals, even though its small. Recommended!
