Initially the unit did not spray cleaning solution when you squeezed the trigger. Many have the same issue if you Google this. So after taking my new machine apart, taking several measurements I found the problem.Apparently somewhere between design and production one part was made too short by about the thickness of a quarter. That would be the actuating rod inside the handle.A good and easy fix is as follows;1) depress the button right under the top cord holder and sharply pull the handle assembly from the unit.2) obtain 3” of scotch tape and place a quarter right in the center3) turn the handle upside down and holding the tape by squeezing the two non-stick ends lower the quarter right on the end of the square plastic rod in the middle of the inverted tube. Be sure to secure the sticky ends to the inside of the tube walls to hold the quarter from moving while you re-insert the handle assembly.4) you have now provided that extra length of the rod to adequately depress the part inside that causes release of the cleaning solution.5) Although this repair works consistently if you have the skills then trace the shape of the tube onto a suitably thick (quarter thickness) or there about and cut out the shape slightly smaller so that it can freely move inside without tipping over inside.The machine works amazingly well after this easy modification. I am just guessing here but either the part inside wasn’t produced to spec or the end of the handle tube is just a little too long. Or the engineer/designer was stoned while working at the CAD.

The product looks great. The handle is easy to assemble. It does NOT come with a user manual. It comes with a sheet of paper in maybe a size 5 font that does not even include the model number on it. It tells you how to assemble the handle and how to clean the brushes. It DOES not tell you how to use the accessories that come with the product to do upholstery or stairs let alone these 3 above. Chatted with Chat person, they don't have one. Was directed to watch YouTube videos. I'm not going to go watch a You Tube Video every time I have an issue or needs instructions. I did register the product (which is not mentioned in the piece of paper) with tells me the warranty is void if I don't use it per instructions. The Product name for the model number came up CANCELLED, not a warm fuzzy endorsement .The warranty and the marketing department need to talk to one another. For a nearly $300 product they can write down the stupid instructions and troubleshooting. Spent 2 1/2 hours, on 3 different calls trying to get a customer service person live. Was never able to reach one. There is no link on Amazon Product help to GET a human, it takes you to the Hoover site which is useless. Will probably return, If I can't get support at purchase, I don't expect it if I actually had problems. 2nd chat person sent me a link that went to malware (per Norton) On 3rd CHAT I did get a partial manual that talked about the upholstery tool, but it still did not show these 3 parts above. Again, mentions warranty void if you don't follow instructions, yet they do not provide instructions.
