A Shelter in Our Car

Compelling story from the point of view of a homeless child
There are books out there about homeless adults, often with children from secure homes feeling sorry for the homeless adult. This book is different. The child has a wonderful, loving and hard-working mother who is doing her best to value work, food and school. Circumstances has still left them in a vulnerable housing position though, sleeping in their car. The story has a happy ending which I think is perhaps necessary, as any child you read this with (especially one currently homeless) will need to believe an end to the situation could come.
