These are crazy strong!
I stole the idea from a WoodWorkWeb video where he created a fence for his drill press using two of these. Colin Knecht recommended placing a bit of rubberized kitchen cabinet liner under the magnets so that when they lock, there is no budging them. I haven't done that yet, but will if I see a need. The magnets themselves are powerful. Looking for more uses for these wonderful things.

these are great but make sure your surface is ferromagnetic before you buy
I bought three of these to use to make jigs for my table saw. Imagine my surprise when they didn't hold. Turns out my jobsite table saw isn't steel, but aluminum so magnets won't hold. The good thing is one of my friends owns a body shop and loves them for holding welding blankets in place. He snatched all three and bought me a steak dinner. :) .

To weak for a jig. Should be called the MagJig 95/10
Are these powerful? Yes...very...but only in one direction...and that is you standing over it trying to pull it up off the metal table. They are weak giving it sideways pressure. They slide fairly easy even with two built into one simple jig...and this is the last thingy you want with ANY type of jig for accuracy. Think of your table saw fence sliding as you are cutting a piece of wood. And no, I was not making a table saw fence...just trying to give you a visual reference. Most things we make as jigs...need to be extremely stationary and that is why we have things like Tslots and fences when using tools. This is so things don't move from side to side. Nobody is trying to lift their fence up in the air...we are trying to keep it from sliding. With all that being said...don't expect this to stay put....nope...not even with two of these in one single jig. I gave it 2 stars simply because I feel the marketing strategy is a bit misleading. Might want to rename this the 95/10 MagJig. 95 pounds of downward force and 10 pounds of lateral force.

Not entirely pleased with this purchase
A little weaker than I anticipated. Other rare earth magnets of the same size are incredibly strong, these are moderately strong. I tested the 90lb hold strength and it was closer to 70lb, shear strength was maybe around 30lb maximum. As long as I use them for his jigs I suppose it won't matter.

Excellent solution for jigs or fixtures
I used two of these Magswitches installed in a simple piece of wood to serve as a fence on my drill press. Its hold-down power is impressive once the "switch" is thrown, certainly enough to resist any torque from the drilling operation. I think the drill would stall before moving my fence. In use, I approximate the fence location, then throw one of the switches to hold the general spot. Fine tuning is then easy because the free part of the fence can be easily adjusted to position the proposed hole precisely, whereupon the other switch is thrown, holding the fence securely in place. Once the operation is complete, simply open the switches, remove the fence, and in my case, put the fence on top of the drill press and throw the switches again, holding it fast until its next use. Very handy with a wide variety of applications.

It works
I was concerned that even lifting magnets straight up wasn't going to be a problem with scooting it sideways might be an issue but after I made a fence and also bought the Carter's F.A.S.T. system and together they make an unbeatable combo. I hardly ever used my bandsaw because of drift now that issue is gone with the magnets.

Work as expected
These are amazing. These were bought for a project and I chose this style so you have the ability to turn on the magnetic pull and clean the metal shavings off of it so whatever your are trying to get the magnets to hold there is no interference

Nowhere Near the Advertised Holding Power
Bought for a bandsaw resawing fence and these just don't have enough holding power. The fence slides across my cast iron bandsaw table with a small about of sideways pressure. And, these cannot be returned so thanks for sticking me with useless hold-downs!

Very good
It does grip to a steel worktop like a limpet,However top tip.... make sure your saw bench is made of steel and not Aluminium like my Bosch is, otherwise you have an expensive clamp that does not work, fortunately for me my bandsaw has a steel table so all was not lost, otherwise useful tool to have

A boy's toy.
Magic toy. I love it. I bought it for me but I sent it to my grandson but it did not reach him.....because my son now has it. So I will get another one (sorry two....one for me and one for my grandson).
