Some folks might mistake the cold water they're stand in as evidence of water leaking into these socks. I know it felt that way the first time I took these out for a spin. But after nine hours standing over ankle deep in a cool running river, my feet were perfectly dry if just a bit clammy from the cold temps. I've hiked and waded in them for four day-long adventures so far, and they haven't let me down. Wear warm socks inside them if you're going to be in cool conditions.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well these worked while crossing creeks. However, if the water comes higher than the tops of the socks on your legs they will fill from the top and then have to be manually emptied (since, again, they are surprisingly good at not letting water through).

I am happy with my purchase and I wish we had an option to give 4.5 stars on Amazon.The product does its job well, I am rowing on the cold water and not only these socks prevent the water getting in, but also keep my foot warmer than the usual socks. The only part I am not happy with the product is it takes too long to dry. I am running the dryer 2-3 times in a row to make them dry. Rather than that, it is a great item and well worth the money I have spent on it.

Get are nice and dry. The socks have a little bit of nice compression as well. Great. Sock!

Bought these socks as an alternative option to wearing waders for fly fishing. They did the job and exceeded my expectations! Kept feet fairly dry and very warm in 50 - 55 degree water. Some water did seep in when water level was higher than top of sock. And I found flys can easily hook onto woven material so need to be watchful when fly is floating on the water. Will get another pair for sure!
