This is the right part for fixing the CL-Max helmet. Not quite a bolt-on repair, though. It's a complex mechanism, with a few moving parts and some springs & a lever. The two I got were not properly put together, so when I bolted them on, the face shield would not connect. So take your time, and inspect it to learn how the mechanism works. Compare it to a working one if you have it. Whatever you do, don't force it. If it won't snap on easily, then start again. It will work if you give it some thought and attention.

I can use my clunky, old helmet again! For some reason however, getting the visor to mount on these is a BOOGER. Took me an hour to get one side to go on, whereas it was easy getting the other side on. Maybe it's my old hands, but wow.. what a chore. It was like this with the other set I had that failed, causing me to buy these, so I don't think it's this particular brand or model. These are fine, they fit and install easily, and the visor DOES go on, with some convincing... :)

Screws did not fit Cl-max. Had to use old ones. No instructions.

I am glad parts still available for the cl max that work well

The gear plate attached to my old helmet with no problems. It is a lil stiff, but that is expected with new latches. Really happy with the quality of the product. Would definitely recommend to replace your worn out, old latches.
