Best $36 upgrade ever!
The headlights in my 2016 Subaru Forester were not terrible but I wanted whiter light like I was used to on my motorcycles. Already having much more expensive LED headlights (Opt7) in two of my motorcycles, I was a little skeptical of the quality these would have for one-third the price. I am very happy to say that they are almost identical to the Opt 7 ones with only minor differences that I can tell. Those being that the rear fan cover grill is plastic instead of metal, as well as the area where the power cable connects. I don't think this will be an issue at all, especially since these are exposed to outside air under the hood instead of crammed into a small volume motorcycle headlight/instrument housing. The ballast box, plugs and cables appeared equal in quality and probably came from the same factory. Installation was super easy and fast. The only thing that might slow you down a little is figuring out where to put the ballast boxes. I simply zip-tied mine to a support beam behind each housing. The car gave no error codes and the lights are noticeably brighter. I am very curious to see how they hold up and will try to report back any issues regarding lifespan if any come up.
