BLACK+DECKER IR2050 Textile Iron, Standard, Red

I replaced my 20 yr old B&D iron with this one. Other than colour the design is the same. Works as it should.

So far I am loving my new iron. It has a little weight and gets very hot.

Rarely write reviews but thought it was worth it. I have owned this iron for many months now and waited to see how I would like it long term, and I must say that I think it is a great product for the price. I have had no issues, the soleplate is still shiny without any build up. It heats up quickly, and has a decent size water tank so does not need to be refilled often unless you are using heavy steam all the time. I have never had to turn it up past the #4 setting to get the amount of heat that I need for my clothes. I would recommend it.

I love this iron.. it doesnt leak a drop of water, it gets hot enuff to take out any wrinkle, and it glides so easily across any type of material.. if i had to nickpick i just wish it had a retractable cord. But its great

I’m keeping this iron because l had to have an iron NOW but am wondering what has happened to irons because my old Sunbeam was way over ten years old when it died and has none of these problems. Here is what I am finding in this one (and the first one I bought, and returned, was no better)PROS: Good for light weight fabrics The new style pointed nose works wellCONS: Not hot enough for canvas or denim You can’t see water level (even with a flash lite) Can’t maintain heat (loses heat when setting up) so wait to reheat. Too much steam causing it to constantly need water (and they asked it be turned off and unplugged to refill.
