Excellent value, needs an amateur basics guide.
This is an excellent truck for beginners and more experienced RC fun seekers. For my nephews *th birthday I got him one of these trucks, a pair of 5000 mah NIMH batterys with a single battery smart charger. Full price ended up just under $400. With this setup he gets a good 45-50 min of run time with no excessive heating. He can use the batterys back to back with no major issues. If he wants to go lipo/faster when he is older or understands the danger in recharging/using batterys he already has a capable charger. (The lights do not come with the truck but make evening and night driving more fun and functional)There are some quick and easy maintenance things that should get addressed if your looking for longevity. The first warning is lipo batterys, even 2s 50c will quickly cook the brushes on the stock motor. Expect to replace it sooner than later.Number 2 is 50/50 in the pro/cons. The truck is dry, no grease/lubricant in the hubs or CV. I prefer it this way as I can use my own preferred lubricant without having to clean them out first. An amateur may not know this and quickly burn the bearings out.The radio has great range as you see in the pic, the servo response is kind of slow but throttle response is nice and zippy, leading me to believe the servo is the only difficulty in the radio area. My nephew has no complaints about the radio and even less once he got a 25kg servo. More experienced people will not like the radio and want one with a gyro and more fancy options. This next one has to do with the wheels. The rubber is great but the rims are kind of thin and prone to cracking if you crash it to the side or power slide into a curb. Now that the "optional freebies" are out of the way let's get to what your paying for, the truck itself and the esc. The durability of this truck has a balance point directly associated to which batterys you choose to use. On 7.2v nimh the truck and parts will be almost indestructible, adding C clips to the shocks springs to carry the heavier battery is a must.2s lipo 50-120c range are drop in and drive, no suspension changes needed but the motor will burn out quickly.3s lipo 50-120c range need the suspension clips and few upgraded parts, aluminum shocks and arms are a good idea. The motor has to be changed to one of appropriate turns (amperage) which dictates its power/speed.The Dynamite esc has taken a good little beating and still performs perfectly. Out of many I own, only 1 has popped but I believe it was user error when switching from nimh to lipo (refer back to youngsters learning about safety recharging/using batterys). In all it is a great deal to get someone started in the RC hobby, for the experienced people it will be a great cost effective addition to your collection if you do not already have a SCT (short course truck). You can take this truck brushless but be prepared to do alot of upgrades so it does not burn up upon re-entry.The best bonus of this RTR truck is that original replacement are very cost effective, the chassis alone is less than $20. Aluminum and metal replacements will cost more and last longer but there is your cost effective trade-off.I hope this helps a few people when deciding on a new RC or an addition to a collection.

Amazing truck for $139.99
This is an incredible rc truck at this price point. Very fun on 2s lipo right out of the box, I would guess it's going around 25mph which is plenty of speed to have some fun with. I've treated this thing like I stole it and nothing has broken at all just beating up the body. I've done things with this truck I wouldn't dare do with many of the others I own. I just placed an order for a second one before I started writing this review, like I said for $139.99 it can't be beat.

Good beginner truck.
Basic, simple and light, this is a good truck for people who come over to run my backyard track who don’t have experience. Upgraded with a Spectrum brushless system, it is fast.

Great bang for the buck
Very impressed with this RC, it's fast becoming one of my favorites, It's quite quick out of the box with the 12t brushed motor, though it needs more cooling if you run it on 3S, more than 10 minutes of steady fast driving the motor will burn out, I spent an additional $115 and purchased a Spektrum Firma 85a esc with a 3300kv motor, and this thing rips, I've clocked it at 48mph, then air gets under the body and turns into a kite and leaves the ground, after drilling some holes on the rear of the car to evacuate air, it's run 56mph, I also added softer (crawler) tires with deeper lugs for running in the dirt(the stock tires are great on pavement or very compact surfaces), it's just as fast(if not faster), and handles as well as SCT's in the $600-$750 range with these minor mods for under $300 invested
