Overall, this is a quality product. Product does not product as much light as expected; but, it charges well and illuminates the outside area throughout the night. The remote is convenient and allows flexibility to extend battery life and to reduce or increase lighting intensity.

The product itself seems quite sturdy and seems to work well. (Once I connected the solar panel and the LED lights, it went on immediately.) I haven't installed it yet to know how bright it is outside, but I'll go outside with it tonight to get a rough idea. There are 2 weaknesses with this light, though: The remote control does not adjust levels of brightness (the buttons to do that only make it blink for a moment and do not dim the lights) and the remote itself is very lightweight (read: likely to break if it gets dropped). But the bigger issue is the instructions (see image) for how to put the pieces together are abysmal. The English is fractured and at times nonsensical, and there is a single image of the item already put together without any kind of guidance for the parts you can't see. Simply saying attach this part to that part and use the screws is not instruction. I am fairly intuitive and handy with building this, and I struggled. I honestly had thoughts of returning it because putting it together was so challenging. There are extra pieces left and... I don't know. If the instructions were improved, I would have a much better opinion. 4 of 5 stars because I recognize the product is good, even though the assembly instructions are awful.

Tested this for several days on an 10' post and could not get it to last @ full brightness thru the night. Finally figured out to turn it off at night, and it would start charging the next morning. Did this for 4 days. Have it mounted on the house now, and the remote does not work now. Will notify support next and will update the review. Light is approx. 15" up, but went up to with inches of the light, and nothing worked from the remote. Like the light and the fact there is no motion detection to worry about. Installation information is a bit lacking though.Update 5-27-2022Remote still not working, no word from seller. I did find the way to get it to stay on all night:1 place unit in direct sun light. (Had mine mounted on a temporary 10' pole for ease.)2. turn off the light (hard to do with no remote) when it turns on at dusk.3 Unit will turn on (no light at this stage), and will indicate it is charging. Does not charge for long, and starts early.4 Repeat for 3 to 4 days, regardless of what indications you get from the unit(s).Mine now turns on around 2015 (dusk in central Florida) and then off around 0600 -0615 (at down). It is not quite as bright as when it first turns on, but within 5 - 6%, good enough for good pictures with the Sec. cameras!

I was hoping for a brighter light. No instructions for putting together, just an image of the completed product, and it feels like it should have had some extra holes for securing it or something.Battery life seems good, did not test put motion detection as I want it on for 6 hours after sunset for my uses at work.For the price, not worth further investment I to more of these lights. Bought this ad a test unit for a rough parking area at my Zoo during our Halloween event.

This product works as great as it says it does. If you're knowledgeable with tools, then installing this is a breeze. The motion detector works great, always picking me or my dogs up at night and illuminating the surrounding area. As you can see in the attached photos above, we mounted it above our shed as there was no light source there before. The weather protection works great as well, as we just had a few storms roll through and the light is still functioning as intended. Overall, 10/10 would recommend this product!
