A Small Scale Approach to Organic Laboratory Techniques (Available Titles CourseMate)

It is a good book for understanding how stuff works in lab, but it is not a leisurely reading, so often times you will find yourself bored to death reading 50-60 pages at a time in preparation for your next class/lab. It is pretty heavy though, and you cannot really lug it with you everywhere, especially if this is not the only thing you need to carry around. I think there may be another better alternative that you may want to make use of, unless this one is specifically required by your instructor.

Pros: Great book, perfect detail and pictures for visual learners. Cons: Only one minor detail issue for me, I wish the book had the "technique"s section (separate listing in the second half of the book) blended in with each appropriate experiment. It became annoying to constantly flip back about 200 pages to see what technique to use. Other than that, near perfect lab book.

Good delivery (Amazon can peform ... most of the time) the right book.Son now has his B.S. in Chemistry ... looking for a job in this pathetic Obowmao Economy.Book price and delivery beat the local univerity bookstore by a few percent.

The steps given are clear and relatively simple to follow. I liked the added safety instructions included along with the experimental procedures.

This book was required for my Organic Chem class. I detest it, but maybe kinda because I hate lab as well. But this book could definitely have been organized better. Overpriced. It did the job, but it was hard to get used to in the beginning.

Good txtbook

It helps me understand the lab procedures with the pictures.Quite useful. But still, Cant deny its heavy.And too much wordings.
