It's a good laptop. HP is a solid brand.However be aware of what you need this laptop for. I bought this for my children that mostly use it for homework, internet browsing, and light gaming.Don't expect it to be a "high end gaming laptop". This will only serve you for basic stuff: homework, web browsing, listening to music, YouTube, and even some light games. But don't expect it to run AAA games or use applications that require heavy graphics (my daughter uses it for her design artwork, but this won't work for apps that require heavy graphic processing).For this price, this is a great buy.

So, I read all of the reviews and I was looking at this laptop and another HP that had Windows 11, that was $399. I chose this , Windows 10, as I am a returning college student. It has all the “Whistles & Bells” needed for classes. I also went to Best Buy to look at their selection. Both were a better buy at Amazon and the Microsoft Office is $15 cheaper for the one-time load; I could have used the college’s Office program but I wanted my own. Best Buy’s one time load is $150, on 1-8-23.Here’s the GOODNESS; I ordered on Sunday night and received it Wednesday afternoon, EARLY. The seller/Amazon stated that I would receive on TH, through the following TH. I also received a tracker from UPS on Wednesday morning, letting me know it was on its way. It was package beautifully with a perfect unit; absolutely virginal. She looks like the photo. I was afraid, due to some of the reviews. BUT, be not afraid!!!She’s AWESOME and easy to set-up! I bought the Microsoft Office online and Amazon shoots you over the ID number to enter, so no waiting to receive the program!If your looking for a student/light business use/leisure unit, just push purchase!

The mouse pad will drive you out of your mind. IF you buy this lap top you will regret it check ebay there are dozens for sale used. The mouse pad does not have separate right left click bars it's just a flat pad. Bad design will drive you crazy! Buyer Beware.

The laptop I thought I ordered was a hp touchscreen an it’s a regular laptop, however it has a defect the @ sign is not where it should be it’s where the “” is an it has no fingerprints like the instructions say it has no face id either but over it’s a good quality but it has a defect..

The keys are silver, matching the body. Letters on the keys are not in a contrasting color, they are transparent and optionally backlit. Whether the backlight is on or off, there is very little contrast between the letters and the keys, making them unreadable in a normal viewing position. The backlighting might work in a low-light environment, but with normal office lighting it is hopeless.Backlighting might be a good idea for black keys, but doing this on silver keys is really dumb.
