I wanted a smaller compact engraver for marking my wood projects. I initially ordered a machine directly from Neje, but they didn't process my fulfilment/shipment and I ended up getting a refund. My Aufero 1 is similarly designed at a similar price point of the Neje Plus. My Aufero 1 works after only a few minutes of set up. It comes with an air asist nozzle/head for my type of laser. The instructions on how to attach it were buried in some online documentation, and I finally figured it out. A cheap aquarium pump will drive the air assist, but not included. No Wifi/Bluetooth connection and must be cable tethered to your laptop. Aufero 1 has a shortcomings but it works well and is easy to use. Comes mostly assembled and requires only mounting the laser head and air assist nozzle. Most items now days have poor documentation. Aufero 1 includes only a single sheet with QR codes linking to online documentation. Documents are probably prepared by an engineer who already knows what to do.

We had an issue with it right out of the box. The help desk was on it in a flash and replacement part(s) were in my hand within 2 weeks. After replacement the device works perfectly I could not be happier with our purchase! We are on our way to creating some unique items to create and sell.

I love crafting but have never used an engraver before. I was quite intimidated at first and the engraver itself doesn't come with much instructional guidance. The grbl system that you can use for free doesn't either but with a few YouTube videos, I got the gist of it and once I did my first engraving, I started feeling more comfortable. You do need an additional program to design and photoshop what you want to engrave but in viewing the the YouTube videos, gimp was recommended which is also free and that has worked great. It is all about learning the strength of your laser and practicing on different material. I got the LF4 and had a great time cutting things out of wood. Love it and look forward to making many more things.

The laser stopped working right after one use. Contacted the seller and the customer services 2/3 times, no one responded. Finally Contacted Amazon and Amazon representative suggested to return. Thank God this worse experience happened within 30 days, otherwise, no refund.......

It was easy to set up and is definitely a gateway laser. It works well and makes me want a second one.

My unit worked fine, when it was working, but often needed to be restarted and the USB connection was touchy. Also, the unit I got was also much less powerful than what I had seen on youtube. My unit also often stopped mid job and sometimes it would start the job with the laser frozen in one spot burning a hole in the table. I was using updated firmware. If you are going to go with one I would recommend the larger Aufero, because the diode would have more support and you would have a larger working surface. Aufero did refund my money even though I was way beyond the refund window on Amazon.

Fantastic machine. Worked great out of the box and after squaring and tightening belts a bit works even nicer. LaserGRBL is easy and produces great results. I think Laserburn might be better if you want to engrave then cut the piece out. No complaints about this amazing little gizmo.

So I bought this as a entry level engraver and after doing some research I feel its a bit over priced. Setup was fast, software is some what easy to learn. Will update in one week.
