I absolutely loved this book!! My favorite trope is enemies to lovers and this had some of that tension. It seemed impossible for Toby and Hildy to work out all the differences they had to be together. Despite their best intentions they fell hard for each other. The characters were complex and well written. The chemistry was off the charts. It had a unique storyline and I couldn’t put it down. I look forward to continuing the series.

Good story and great characters. I could have done without the descriptive sex scenes, but the story is interesting. I really liked the way the author writes, so I look forward to reading more books in the series.

This first book in the Duchess Society series was an extremely exciting and lovely story that tells of Hildi and Tobias. All the characters were absolutely great. There was so much drama, humor, intrigue, mystery, suspense, and wit told. Between a wedding match, a mistress, Dukes, a Duchess, a broken engagement, an attempted murder by a shooting, a kidnapping, also a cat having kittens. And best of all, it was full of romance that included a delicious amount of steam and happily ended. I highly recommend reading!

I adore historical romances. And while I love the glamour of the ballrooms and house parties, lately, I’ve wanted something different. I’ve been craving reading about those on the fringes of society, people other than the typical rich dukes and wallflowers. The Brazen Bluestocking by Tracy Sumner filled that craving.The Brazen Bluestocking, the first full story in The Duchess Society series, follows Tobias and Hildy. Tobias was born on the wrong side of the blanket and grew up among his Romani relatives. He’s made a fortune and finds himself needing a social connection to secure his dream job. Hildy is the daughter of an earl. But the passing of her father and brother has left her impoverished, and she founded The Duchess Society as a way to make ends meet.Both Tobias and Hildy are on the edges of the Ton, and it was refreshing to get their story. They were both quite unique characters, and I just loved the give and take between them as at first, they fight their attraction and then try to overcome their misgivings to grab hold of that chance for a happily ever after.A lot is going on in The Brazen Bluestocking, and I was happily along for the ride. There were the makings of a sham marriage, major sparks between Tobias and Hildy, a mysterious villain (which should have been explored more), strong women who don’t conform to societal ideals, and a satisfying happily ever after. There was also quite a cast of characters, which often happens as a series starts, that I think will be featured in future books, and I’m quite intrigued.The Brazen Bluestocking is a wonderful read with unique characters and a fun plot. I found myself sucked into the world and couldn’t wait to see how everything turned out. I am anxious to get started on the next book in the series, The Scandalous Vixen, and I hope that Ms. Sumner continues to hit all the right notes for a slightly different take on a Regency romance.

A fast paced read that kept me engaged. Tobias Streeter and Hildy (Hildegard) Templeton story will be in my keeper shelf for years to come.❤️

I just love this author. I read one book and was immediately hooked! Now I’m working my way through all of her books.The thing I like most is how her characters interact and talk to each other and the way their relationship develops. I like the plots, the characters, the detail, the secondary characters, the locations, the language used and the sex….in short, simply everything! The only way these could be better is if they were steampunk (which I love). Lol.Tracy writes excellent love scenes, full of love and passion. Many of the scenes are quite detailed.I like how the books have characters which appear in every book. Plus each book focuses on one particular character from the group which is fun since you already know a bit about the character.Well worth the money to buy and be sure to allow yourself lots of time to enjoy reading them.

I couldn’t put it dow from start to finish. Completed fell in love with Toby! Great storyline, with romance and comedic situations. Thoroughly recommend.

I always love Tracy Sumner's writing and this book is delicious. There is drama, dysfunctional families, redemption, found families plus more. All wrapped up in a steamy parcel. Phew!
