Belay w/o neck pain, caves, glasses, no problem!
So should you buy these Y&Y Belay Glasses over other brands, IMO YES! The Quality is superb. There are plenty of $15 prism Belay Glasses and you get what you pay for. I’ve tried out plenty of the off brands that people brought to the Rock Climbing Gym & since I have Glasses I figured I would just go all out and buy the Y&Y. I’m so glad that I did. These flip lenses are designed to be touched! You can flip them up & down without chalking or oiling up the prisms. The really sweet touch is how they not only clamp to your glasses (VERY securely) but also in the case they come with there is a notch or lip that is designed into the case that the belay glasses lock onto. This prevents them from rattling around and the case is high quality with a cheap little carabiner to connect it to whatever. I have no issues when not on Belay having them attached to my harness and climbing. The benefits when on Belay are unbelievable (to me). Long Belays have a tendency to have you look down or around... Yes 99% of people take there eyes off the climber for one reason or another, it happens, but with these I find my attention is by far improved and my climber is safer! Its nice that you can shift your head looking left & right and your climber can still be seen by just turning your eyes. Its great in climbing gyms when there are other close climbers around. The safety factor alone is worth the buy. Hope you enjoy. I will never Belay without them. Edit: I also forgot, #1 The Belay Glasses are smaller than you think, when lowered they only cover about the upper half of my glasses. So when on Belay looking forward I see my climber, when looking down I can see my GriGri/ATC/ etc.., #2, I climb with a soft helmet. Sometimes I Belay with it if I’m concerned over falling debris. I even Belay with a hat and I can still see my climber just fine without turning the hat around or taking it off. So you can use the Belay Glasses with a hat on no issues! Lastly, some reviews state that the Glasses feel “heavy”, This is something I find very individual. Both my Son and I now wear these and until we read the reviews from other buyers we never once thought about the weight. We both never noticed the weight. This does not discount the reviews by people who may wear extremely thin or light glasses, maybe if they doo no fit around the ear correct or? Maybe they just have sensitive faces. Its a legitimate problem for them. I still believe that feeling weight over neck pain is a Pro. Good luck & safe climbing!

Don't pass these by!
I'm so glad I finally caved and got these. I have a neck issue and every time I belayed I would be out of service for a few days due to my neck. No longer! I'm glad I went with this brand because the ability to flip up is super convenient. I can interact with my environment without having to take them on and off. The ear grips are so superb that I wear them everyday now- no more glasses slipping down my nose. The grips are also great for climbing. The primary reason for the grips is because my glasses fall off with the weight of the belay lenses added on. The included grips eliminate that issue. Otherwise, the belay lenses don't actually feel heavy at all. It's just a balance/center of gravity issue. High quality lenses, high quality clip, and high quality case. I think my favorite aspect about these is how compact they are when compared to full framed belay glasses. They fit right into my little climbing kit without taking up unnecessary space. Love it. For those of you who don't wear prescription glasses, consider these still for your sunglasses when outdoor climbing!

Works great so far
I have only used them once so far but they definitely helped with my neck strain. I also really liked that I could look down to view my rope and GriGri while shifting my eyes back up to view my climber with ease. Clarity is also great. I would say that the only downside so far is that they have some weight to them and put a little pressure on your nose bridge so maybe get some soft cloth or neoprene covers for your bridge. The flip up feature is also really nice. Definitely recommend them though.

Works Great
Bought this for my wife who hated wearing the regular goggles over her glasses. She loves them and the flip-up feature makes it great to belay until they're high enough to need the goggles. They fit well and they work great.

Great optics, poor mechanical...
Real glass prisms make for great optics. However, the attachment method sucks and will likely break soon. These glasses clip onto your regular glasses. Imagine a clothespin type pinching mechanism, one for each side. One side of each clamp is plastic, the other side is a metal wire capped with rubber. Out of the box the wire was so deformed that only one side of the clip made contact with its respective lens. They were unusable until I repaired them. :(

Great for project routes!
Buy extra of the ear hooks as I go through a pair every 4 or 5 sessions. I typically don't put these on while belaying a warm-up route, but I do use them on routes where I know my partner will be on the wall for awhile. There's a bit of a learning curve to using belay glasses, and throw in clipping these to normal glasses....it's fun. These are heavy and typically pull at my glasses, but I honestly like these the most out of all the options I've tried (borrowing pairs from gym friends). I struggle with SPD, so anything "off" is distracting and unsafe. These are consistent every time I clip them on, so I know exactly what to expect. That reduces the amount of unfamiliar or distracting sensory input.

Brilliant product
I've been needing to use belay glasses for a while, but none fit over my glasses. Not only do these clip on seemlessly, but they also add ear clips to add to the back of your classes so these don't slide off. Super great.

Excellent
Easy to put on and off glasses. Wide field of view. Love the flip up feature! A little on the heavy side but with sturdy glasses frames they don’t pull my glasses down

great product!
Much better than the regular Y&Y belay glasses. Works well with sunglasses and can flip up when not in use
