A book on controversial topic as to why Supreme Court quarrels must be solved within its walls !!
Senior advocate Fali S. Nariman’s God Save the Hon’ble Supreme Court is a reminder that the institution of the Supreme Court of India is cast in stone, permanent. The judges, men and women, who occupy the institution are but birds of passage. They come and they go. However, their frailties, ego, collegiality do shape public opinion about the Supreme Court. The author provides a valuable lesson for future chief justices, about the dangers of the lack of the spirit of collegiality in one of the world’s most powerful courts and speaks through Chief Justice R.C. Lahoti’s observations - “when there is little or no judicial collegiality, there is less incentive for judges to exercise self-restraint....”The book came in the aftermath of what is considered a controversial year in the Supreme Court. The January 12 press conference in which four senior most judges, one of whom is the present CJI - Ranjan Gogoi, CJ, went public with their grievances against sitting Chief Justice of India, Justice Dipak Misra.

Eye opener and view broadner!
This is a must read book for everyone who loves to read about three pillars of indian democracy and their deep concerns which are eloquently mentioned by sir nariman and along with this ,several anecdotes will foster you to peruse more until it ends(my fav:supersession of judges, descent of basic structure doctorine, excellence of nani palkhiwalla). And there is much more to learn about in this book..(suggestion:Language may make you feel bothered bit but never give up try to read again the concerned point and i can bet you when you will understand the soul of that point your view will get feathers to fly in all directions so keep reading with pure concentration).Thankyou!

Illustrative
The present work beautifully highlights some important judgements delivered by Hon’ble Supreme Court in the recent past. It’s reflections on some important events that happened this year and their long term effects on the institution of justice is remarkable. However, the book somewhere fails to move on the path of in-depth analysis and consequently the same affects it’s level of contribution to serious inquiry.

Jem of a book.
The book provides a superb exposition of the problems afflicting the major functionaries under the Constitution and practical suggestions to address the issues. Brilliantly written, the book is a feast to the eyes and knowledge. Reference to interesting anecdotes and copious notes on important terms / events/ court cases / concepts etc. mentioned in the book are highly informative and clear one's understanding.

Asking the right questions
A brilliant book by the author on how the mishandling of sensitive cases have endangered the court's integrity, while the faith of the citizens in it still remains intact. Mr. Nariman highlights the positives and negatives of the past few years the highest court in India has passed through and how can it emerge unscathed from turmoils in the future.
