I got this for cat dishes, to keep water and kibble pieces off the carpet. It only just arrived, but it is exactly what I'm looking for. Cats do not like their water to be near food, and so a pair of mats was needed.I liked the 12 inch size because it came with a lip, no hole, and more floor coverage. If you want it to retain water splashes or slightly sliding bowls I'd recommend the larger size. The 9 inch appears to have no lip at all. Nearly all of the critical reviews seem to be about things like 9 inch not having a lip or being too small, despite being the exact size they purchased and the pictures showing what the product looks like.There was no weird scent or issues laying totally flat immediately out of the package.________________________If you have a particularly large and exuberant dog this isn't what you're looking for to keep a dish from sliding. If you search for "silicone stainless pet dish", you'll find stainless steel dishes and a molded silicone mat that the dish fits inside of. I have used them for a truly relentless cat who overturned huge dishes, and the molded mat works way better than a flat mat ever could for this.

We got this for out cats food or water. I didn't know at the time it came in a pack of two, I thought I was just buying one of the circular ones. It was a nice surprise when I opened it and there was two. They work great, and the size is prefect for the water and food, and they do not slip around the floor, they stay in place. If I ever need more, I will be buying more from them in the future.

Los compré para que no se resbalen los platos de cerámica de mis perros, pero tengo un perro pero parece que tiene ventosas en la lengua y se las ingenia para mover el plato de todas maneras... pero definitivamente si es mucho menos, le cuesta mas trabajo moverlo. O sea, el motivo por el que los compré, le falta un poco mas, pero realmente si sirven para un perro normal. jajaja

I got the 12” by 12”. Fits my medium size dog bowl perfectly. My dog is a messy drinker and this saves my floor from excessive water drips. I haven’t had to clean it yet but I can tell washing it will be easy. I am happy with the purchase and would buy again.

Does the job and does not take up a significant amount of space like other mats. Easy to clean. I gave it 4 stars due to its durability. I’m not sure if it will stand the test of time or should I say my cat.
