OK, these are expensive woks for sure, but as others have commented, they really are a fusion of kitchen cookware and art. I would recommend looking up these woks on line and watching the excerpt of video from "A Bite of China" to see the craftsmanship that goes into them. From a practical standpoint, I have already used this wok several times and I am amazed at how much I love cooking with it. Obviously, it's extremely well built, but it's also extraordinarily functional. Mine came pre-seasoned and works incredibly well. Really happy with the purchase.

This wok is well built - not a surprise given its price. Mine came seasoned. However, one time I cook food with a small amount of vinegar and now the bottom half is no longer seasoned. I have a tough time getting rid of the rust. Also, there is a small amount of import duty which should have been disclosed.

This is my first time owning a carbon steel wok. Unboxed and really appreciate the beautiful hand hammered crafted Wok. No doubt slightly on a heavier side of 2.0kg for a 32cm wok but it sit quite stable on the stove. After going through all the steps in cleaning as per the instructions, I managed to perfectly cooked an egg without sticking and followed by fried vegetables and fried Mee Hoon using the wok. The vegetables tasted so crunchy and sweet. Believe with more practice should be able to improve with better control on the fire and the usage of the wok. A high quality & excellent Wok highly recommended if you are those who like cooking and love owning an excellent craftsman’s works.

This is the best wok! So beautiful, well made and cooking nicely. Want to buy it again.
