The Mantra's are about as "establishment" as skiing gets. These guys have been around the block a few times, and as the latest model in a long and storied lineage, the Völkl M6 Mantra Skis ooze class. The recipe is tweaked rather than overhauled, with a newly progressive Tailored Titanal Frame making for a more finely tuned ride in each length, and a new carbon layup in the tips that lightens the load without compromising on-snow performance. These are every bit the precise, resort scalpels you know and love - now better than ever!

Rock solid ski
HI all, I purchased these skis at the end of the season and only have 1 day on them but let me tell ya, they rip. It does take a more advanced skier on these but they are more forgiving than the M5's. Carving was exceptional, even powder was OK (not great), initiating turns and control were on point BUT you have to lead these skis. If you are on your heels and think the ski will ski itself, you will LOSE. You must be a strong pilot and a more aggressive skier to reap all the benefits of the new design BUT I will say they are more all mountain than the previous M5's. If you're looking to bomb, carve, etc., these are phenomenal on piste. They are better that the M5 OFF piste but you're not going to get the float in the pow you would with a lighter and wider ski. All in all this is one of the best all mountain skis out there. I'm looking forward to pushing them al little harder next year.

More playful than i thought
So after 20 years I retired my old K2 Fours that were considered an "all mountain" ski when i got them.Love the M6 I ski aggressively and so far they have kept up, the 3D radius allows me to vary my turns pretty easily. and now hitting mid century find my legs work less and have more fun skiing. so far great in all conditions from packed powder to crud, Have not gotten any powder days, but considering the waist is wider than my old tips i am not worried about float, i assume it will be fine.Overall 5 stars, and having a really fun ski season.
