Big Eared People, Listen Up…
I definitely have larger than the average ear size. I don’t know how many pairs of true wireless earbuds that I’ve tried over the past couple years. I have bought and returned a variety of big name company TWS earbuds: Jabra, Sony, JBL, Sennheiser, Soundcore, and more. Out of those, the best ones I tried that fit me best were the soundcore liberty air 2 pros. However, they made a weird noise every time I went for a jog. They were also quite buggy at times. Long story short, I finally came across the neobud pros. They have been ranked some of the top TWS earbuds in 2021 in a lot of YouTubers’ videos, and I saw that they had a bunch of different eartips to choose from, so I gave them a try. I am so glad I did. They fit the best out of any true wireless earbud that I have tried. Also, they sound incredible! I love listening in dynamic mode; my music sounds very full and rich. You can really feel the sub bass in this mode. They do also support hi-res audio if you desire. Not to mention, the headphones and case design look sick! I think these are easily the best headphones at their price point, and they are even better than other headphones that I’ve tried that are closer to that $200 range! I will admit, the touch controls are a bit limited, but I honestly don’t really care about that, as I usually only use play/pause and skip/previous song. I’m so glad I found these headphones. Thank you, Edifier!!

Musical as holy horacious humbogart! Edifier are musical geniuses! Older tech though..
Update: a week on, I returned these. I stand by the musicality, but the LDAC on my desktop only lasted an hour. I might have even contemplated stacking to non-ldac, but then the battery was dead the next day and I just could not figure out the battery meter on the case, and did not want to keep connecting to my phone to check in the app. BT 5.0 is just not future proofing, especially when the soundcore liberty 3 are the same price on sale. Edifier are definitely on to a nice sound signature, but they need to get better specs. I went ahead and got the xm4 on sale and it hits all my needs though at a higher price — I would strongly recommend saving up for the xm4 over these, the xm4 do have much better sound. The soundcore liberty 3 is very crisp and clear as people say, and the tech and presentation put it in the higher tier, but those have BT connection bugs when switching devices, tend toward theatrical movies, have a finicky charging case (buds don’t snap on reliably), and the Sony with dsee smoothed out aac content. I am still excited about Edifier prospects, but this earbud just doesn’t have modern enough tech (no LE prospects, short battery), the case is too ugly, and it needs more bass extension. The Sony case is the most solid sand easy to use, the sl3 is the most sexy but fiddly. I hope Edifier would address this in their next release, but overall a promising first venture into hi-res audio (although with 1 hour ldac battery, it’s mostly a gimmick here). The ldac did sound great also, so I hope Edifier makes something more compelling than the competition next time, but with recent sale prices across the board it is difficult to keep these. Such a large case for such little battery life is difficult to justify. Oh well.I tried the tozo t6. It was cool and cheeky for $30, but just alright. I tried out beats fit pro: it sucked, flat, dull, and pinched my ear. I tried the liberty Soundcore pro 3 based on 1k reviews, and while it was extremely comfortable and pretty and the sound was just good, it is muddled and clumsy and the bass is a bit like a large rubber thump. Two hours in the gym with the liberty pro 3 was unbelievably comfortable but I left with a headache, even after doing the auto ear tuning and manual tuning it sounded dead and dull, even though everything was there, it was like the orchestra showed up but just didn’t have their heart in it - I only enjoyed a few of my favorite songs, everything else was meh - and the start of Spectre was decent, everything was clear but there wasn’t that excitement. I ordered the neobuds out of curiosity and because chifi impressed me with t3 plus and sivga, and because Edifier is a music company. Anker makes consumer electronics. And it shows. While anker’s liberty pro 3 is better in every single way (battery life, comfort, looks, wireless charging, longer ldac play), it just isn’t musical at all - it feels like amateurs banging on nice instruments. The Neobuds pro on the other hand have blown my mind hole right into a singularity. I. I can not even start. I must. Ok. Here goes. It slays everything I throw at it. In the gym Mama Baker played, on aac on iphone, and I couldn’t believe how delicious it sounded, as if it was a brand new release. Cheeky and fun, just as I remember it, but every instrument sounded so lively and nimble. Vocals are insane, completely natural and present it feels like the singer is right in front of you giving you a personal serenade. I mean not exactly, but it’s so musical. It feels as if every song has a conductor inside the earphone leading a thrilling little orchestra. The eight instruments fall away. At the right time. So in Spectre the orchestra parts just in time for bond’s opening line. And the little drum percussion leading up to it is so realistic. And the big drums in the intro reverberate just perfectly down into the chest in the most satisfying way. And every single instrument sounds dainty and pretty and nimble, from the most massive drum beat to the tiniest triangle ping. The first season of South Park even sounded lush, the the voices full of texture and timbre. Lovely, not a hint of harsh sibilance or dull drumbeats. Everyone is alive and awake and full of joy in this personal orchestra in my ears. Even my gf couldn’t believe how much better the neobuds sounded compared to the liberty pro3. Every guitar has throat so perfectly trained. Every trumpet has body and tremble. Ok. So you get it. I was dancing in the gym with these neobuds because I just couldn’t help myself. I don’t know how Edifier did it. Oh wait, I do know, they are a music company that knows what they are doing. My dream would be to take the sound of the Edifier neobuds pro and shove it into the pretty and comfy design on the liberty pro 3 with the better specs. But alas, it is unlikely that is going to happen, and unlikely that Edifier will read this review and make a new product just for me. But holy. Moly. Mother of all that is sin. Because the sound of these neobuds is so good, at this price it should be sinful. I cannot return these, even though they are inferior to the liberty 3, because these neobuds are in a league of their own in the one spec that matters most: sound. And I don’t care about lack of eq, because these buds have been tuned to perfection out of the gate. I am just so pleased. Thank you Edifier. These buds have so much emotion in them I was able to relive my old favorites. These buds even make Iron Maiden sound good to me, and that is a phenomenal accomplishment. I don’t know how they can do this with an iPhone and aac (not even ldac). I’m so curious to hear them on ldac now. Oh god, Edifier, please follow through on this product line, you are on to something pure gold. Even with all the lower specs I cannot return these, they have become my friend! I cannot believe I am writing such a personal review. These are just that impressive! If you cannot tell the difference, then get the Soundcore, they are the most comfy buds I have ever worn. But. If you need music in your life. If you need your movies to do a foxtrot in your ear, even when in the gym or on a run, then get these. I can say that the spinfit CP360 do not fit (too long to fit in chargin case), but I believe they have a CP1025 or some such that might fit, and comply indicates they will release foam tips. Anyway. I’m telling you, the sound from these buds is both lovely and lusty and violent and menacing all at the same time. It is pure magic. They give my wired T3 plus and hip-dac2 a good run for their money. I. Am. In. Disbelief.

The perfect alternative to Airpods
I'm not an Apple person - I have a Samsung phone and have never owned an iPhone. These earbuds were exactly what I was looking for since I don't want airpods. I tried a lot and sent a lot back - these are the ones I kept. The case is very cool, with an led on the front that lights up when charging. The buds themselves have a cool form factor and look good and fit well in my ears. The sound quality is great - I was amazed at the nuance I was able to hear in songs. The app could have a bit better UI, but it gets the job done and allows you to control the noise cancelling and even manage high def music codecs. The only minor complaint is the tap control on the earbuds themselves is a bit tricky to manage and is a bit limiting as to what you can control with each earbud. But once I got the hang of it, it works well enough. Overall, I'm very happy with these.
