Excellent secondary media
Used this as a 'top' filter media for my external, cement block, koi pond. It is attached to galvanized wire mesh and easy to remove for cleaning/service. Media worked great and cleared up my koi pond in about 36 hours combined with a 9.5 GPH pump. I recommend this quick and cheap material to serve in this capacity.

Great for Ponds
I have a large filter for my pond that requires filter media to be a certain length. This is an excellent filter material and is holding up quite well. My pond is crystal clear now.

Not an inch thick like described! More like 1/2" - 3/4"Works but near what expected!

Not recommended
Cheap product. Not going to last more then a month. Go to a pond supplier and purchase true filter media.
