This book was easy to follow and spoke in a language that even ...
When forming my business I had so many questions about the type of business entity I should form. I found chapter 7 to be most helpful which explains the differences in accounting for an LLC. For someone who has little to no knowledge of the two methods of accounting I found it to be very beneficial to know ahead of time the type accounting you want to practice for your business. This book was easy to follow and spoke in a language that even non accounting folk can understand.

Buy a different LLC book
Multiple grammatical errors in the first 3 pages, and they don't stop there. Short book, made with little content, often rambling prose. Of the 96 pages in the book, 25 of them are advertisements/previews of the author's other books, 19 of them are easily googled snippets about state specific costs of startup, rules, etc. The rest of the 50 pages can be read within an hour, are without much substance, and are full of lots of legal anecdotes. I wish I had read other reviews before purchasing. Don't waste your time or money.

I found it easy to read and understand
Very helpful book for entrepreneurs who want to start their own business. The book talks about the different business entities and explains why an LLC might (or might not) be the right choice. I found it easy to read and understand. I liked that it included specific information from each state, as each state has its own set of rules and fees. I also liked that Accounting for LLC's was included. Very important for every business owner to understand how to avoid "Piercing the corporate veil".

Excellent guide for those new to starting a business
As someone who has been debating whether an LLC is necessary for my businesses or not, this book was very informative and helpful. I have one business and am working on certifications for a second and unrelated one, so this book answered the question I had on what I should do with each: stay with sole proprietorship or move to an LLC.The chapters are set up very clearly and even includes specifics on how to set up an LLC in each state. The only con I could find is that the state specific section could become outdated if a state changes their rules/costs. I’m not sure how often that actually happens though, so that may not really be an issue. Not all sections were personally relevant at this time in my business venture (i.e. hiring of employees), but it’s good to know that I can reference those sections when/if that comes up later. I can see this being a book I will repeatedly reference over the years to get answers and to make sure I’m approaching everything in the right way. The level of detail included is extremely helpful and is written in such a way that it’s not overwhelming or confusing.Overall, I give this 5 stars. It’s very helpful for someone completely new to starting a business and is written in simple terms that are easy to understand. I would highly recommend that anyone who is planning to start a small business buy this.

Not worth it.
This is a very shallow book that covers none of the topics in any detail at all. The entire book takes about an hour to read and really doesn't provide much useful information. There is a bare discussion of different types of organization but nothing more than a paragraph on each one. There's no discussion about the advantages/disadvantages of an LLC vs a Chapter S. There are six pages devoted to starting an LLC, but 15 pages devoted to marketing the author's other book.
