ACOUSTIC FOAM MATERIAL: The acoustic foam material can help eliminate harmful sound and at the same time, the sound will be much clearer. In this way, it can improve the sound quality either in the lecture room or performance venue. All flapping, vibrating echoes, waves and reverberations can be well reduced. THICK MATERIAL: Our sound absorbing foam panel is made from thick material, which is proved to be fireproof. This thicker foam panel can be used for better sound absorption and it is good for wave, reverberation and flutter echo reduction in a small and medium-sized room. VERSATILITY: This acoustic foam panel has a wide range of application because of its low-cost solution, so you can obtain a better recording sound effect both at home or in the recording room. All in all, it can be widely used in work shop, podcast, church, home theatre, home studio or utility closet and more.Feature: Harmful Sound Elimination Acoustic Foam Recovery Method Thick & Advanced Material Extensive UseSpecification: Color: Red and Black Material: Thick Material Product Size: 2*12*12 Inches/5*30*30 cmPackage: 12 * Acoustic Sound Panels

100% recovered all panels, but...
...it takes some effort to recover all panels. Don't get discouraged after your first try to get the panels 'reinflated'.Some reviews say "do not soak in water", but my experience with these 48 panels, it does work.My recommendations is to try these steps.1. First, put one 12 pack at a time in the dryer on low/delicate heat for no more than 30 minutes. You should see results after 10 minutes. If you're lucky, all 12 will be recovered just by putting them in the dryer. Most likely, they will not inflate all the way, but there is more to try.Set aside any panels that woked and look 100% recovered from being in the dryer. Also, when you stack them, do it so two panels with the pyramid sides face each other and pionts are not squishing each other and two panels with backs facing each other. This way the weight distributes evenly and you not putting stress on the foam.2. The others that still look flat from the dryer, you need to soak them.I used a tub and a shower wand to hose them down.Spray down one panel at a time with warm water and flip them over to get both sides so the good and water logged. When they get soaked, the get really heavy so handle them gently so the don't tear. You should see even some really bad looking panels start to look better already.Stack them as you would with the dry panels. When done soaking them, lift a panel at a time and let water drain down one corner. After draining them let them sit for like 30 minutes.3. I have found what has helped the foam to remember is to squeeze them. With the wet panels, take the worst looking ones, one at a time. Fold it half and fold it in half again to make a smaller square shape. Being gentle, don't ring it aggressively, give it a quick and tight squeeze, but take care to not rip the foam. You should notice even the worst pieces look better. If it still look pretty bad, then soak that piece all over again with warm water and give it another squeeze.Sometimes, some pyramids, or corners are not coming to a point like they should. If this happens, then with the panel still wet take you fingers to pinch the point together and do it from different angles. You should find the shape starting to come back.4. Most of your panels should start to look better, but not 100% yet.Put 6-12 of the wet panels in the dryer, but on a medium heat, not high heat. To get them totally dry, it might take 60-80 minutes on medium heat. Let them go for an hour and check on them. They should look recovered. If they are not looking good yet, keep drying them and set aside the good ones.Any that still look not 100%, you might have to resoak again. It should work.

They work but smell horrible
The noise cancelation in my son's bedroom studio was pretty good as well for his engineering needs. We put them up yesterday. Didn't realize until the next day the strong fishy order they have from the packing. I really hope this goes away. I dont know what to do about it so any and all suggestions are welcome. They will definitely have to be returned if this can't be fixed. I can't even go into his room.

Not equal to picture
I bought these because of the price, now I know why they were so cheap. The blue panels are not equal to the black panels. They’re all like that. As for the absorbing, it’s decent. I’m not mad just disappointed. Even the picture of the product from the actual manufacturer says that the blue and the black panels should be equal.

stops echo, but does not stop sound
in hindsight I should have realized this was obvious, but they do not stop sound from passing through them whatsoever, say you're trying to make a door a little more sound proof they won't do a thing. if you put them against a flat wall, they will make that wall not echo!! And I think that is the actual intended purpose, despite the fact that it advertises noise cancellation.

Works great, sticks less.
I love the fact that I can cancel out my noisy neighbor! It's been a blessing. However, even with extra sticky adhesion spray, I've had to reapply it to a few squares to get it to stick right. Humidity is not your friend here, even when following the specific instructions.
