Genuine Toyota Parts 69210-35020 Exterior Passenger Side Front Door Handle

Passenger handle was broken, driver side worn out where it pulls the rod up to open the door making it hard to open.Expensive, yes! But, mechanic wanted $750 to replace both driver and passenger handles. Total cost buying parts here on Amazon, less than $200 for (hopefully) OEM parts, and 2-3 hours of my labor. Should be less time for anyone with a little car mechanic ability in them. Pay attention to how it all comes apart, so you can put it together again.Door panel pops right off, handles come out fairly easy but be careful not to damage the plastic parts that hold the lock rod, and the inside door handle's plastic connector. Also, be aware of the tweeter's wire when you take the door panel off. Tools needed: Small blade screwdriver to pry off caps over screws and electric window switches. Large blade screwdriver to pry door panel off (feel along the bottom for a gap, start there). #2 and #3 phillips for 3 screws that hold inside latch and pull handle. Heat gun makes taking the plastic dust/weather cover off the inside of the door. Some duct tape to make sure the plastic stays put when you put it back on. Long nose pliers make it easier to remove inside door handle rod. Good lighting is a must, and you need to be able to put a light bulb inside door to make it easier. Be careful when installing the key lock mechanism, you can break the new door handle. I would not do this in cold weather as you can break the pins that hold the inner door panel on, and maybe break plastic on the new door handle when installing the key lock.

So far not good.ordered what I thought was OEM Toyota door handle since the aftermarket ones on Amazon are extremely poor quality.Package displays OEM Toyota made in Japan.Actual door handle displays made in Taiwan.Is this bait and switch?

Original Toyota OEM Parts are of the highest standard! If you plan on keeping your Toyota longer than a year, theinvest in OEM parts like Exterior Door Handles. Cheap replacements DO NOT last long!! For me, I really do notlike to 'go back in' to re-do something.

I bought a cheap handle that lasted one year. this time I purchase the real thingand it should last the life of the truck.

The door handle fit perfectly since OEM part. Pricey but worth it

You can feel the difference when you hold original and knock off at the same time. The knock off's last a year, maybe two, and have to be replaced again. But they ARE a lot cheaper. Pick your poison.

Authentic Toyota parts are well worth the extra cost as was the quality at the time of auto purchase. Cheap will not last.
