This item makes me curious about thermal properties of various things I own. I saw a video where ice was made, just remember to use a heatsink.

As advertised. Only one negative thing one module was cracked in the corner but still worked

Out of spec or falsely labelled
Internal resistance is around 4 ohm and draws just under 3 amp at 12 volt. Seems like TEC1-12704 modules falsely labelled as 12706. One of the modules has double the resistance/half the current of the others and could be a TEC1-12702?

Inexpensive replacement modules
I liked that these came in a 5 pack with proper hardware packaging. These are replacements for a thermoelectric cooler that belongs in a truck cab.

Burned out after 6 hours of use
The units work and are able to transfer heat, but one burned out after 6 hours of use. The unit was water cooled and on 12v DC, and despite this the unit burned after just 6 hours of use. I will not buy this brand again.

Don't work!
Both sides get hot one side supposed to be cool other side supposed to be hot please don't work.

Not good for fireplace fan.
Can't take the heat for generating electricity. Might be used for cooling maybe, but not great construction.
