The jacket fit wonderfully in the shoulders and upper chest area
I see a lot of people posting about how the jacket fits without including actual details on their size. "Plus size" or "bigger person" is not really helpful as those are very subjective. Here are my measurements:Height: 5'11"Weight: 190 lbsChest: 45"Shoulders: 20" (Joint to Joint)Waist: 36" (at navel)Arm: 30.25" (From nape of neck to wrist)Based on chest dimensions and the sizing chart, I ordered an XL. The jacket fit wonderfully in the shoulders and upper chest area, but felt a little loose in the mid section and the sleeves are just a bit longer than I would prefer. That said, there is a draw string at the waist of the jacket that allows you to tighten it to be a bit more form fitting if desired, and looking at the product pictures it appears as if the sleeves hang exactly where they're designed to. If you're on the border between two sizes, you may be able to go with the smaller size if you do not plan on using the jacket liner (if you live in a warmer climate). As for performance, I've already worn the jacket, without the liner, in sub-freezing temperatures and in moderate rain. It performed excellently in both areas. Very warm, water repellant, and comfortable. The jacket looks great, and I've received several compliments on it already. Overall, very very happy with the purchase. Also of note, my jacket arrived a day earlier than the earliest expected date on shipping. Kudos to the seller and the Royal Mail system.

M65 Jacket.
Better than expected!! Im 6ft 4in 240lbs and I ordered a 3X....52 in chest....PERFECT FIT WITH THE LINER IN....sleeves are longer then a normal coat BUT that is how its supposed to be, the sleeves fold back into the jacket. Looks to be a exact match to what I used in the military. The cold weather liner fits all the way down to the wrists and lower back. When you buy this coat know your measurements, use a tape measure and do NOT say "oh my other coat is this size" and order based on that. I rarely ever give 5 stars as nothing is ever perfect but this coat was pretty damn close. These coats were Never meant to fit to form so dont even expect it, they were meant to fit over a pistol or duty belt and some layers of clothing like a soldier would be wearing. Like an old jeep or tank or walking over the quarterdeck of a ship this jacket is a replica of the fond memories I had as a soldier.

For Casual Wear Only, And Too Way Small
I bought this coat to replace the one that I have been using for years. It was a size XL, which fit me perfectly, even with the liner and extra layers of clothing. Just to be safe, I ordered the XXL so that I would have plenty of room. The XXL that I got barely fit my wife, who normally wears a Large. IF YOU BUY THIS THING, BE SURE TO ORDER AT LEAST 2 SIZES LARGER THAN YOU NORMALLY WEAR!!!!!!!!! Other than thai, it appears to be fairly well made, for a cheap knock off of the M-65, though I am not sure whether it would hold up to heavy outdoor for hunting or camping. This is a coat for casual wear only, around town, where durability is not an issue.

Great thanks

(Size is) just right.
I found this jacket in 2 listings from the same company selling it. One listing stated "runs small" the other "as expected." I ordered the size I normally do in the "as expected" listing & the next size up in the "runs small" listing (as those 2 sizes weren't on the same listing). Ultimately, the jacket fits "as expected." So I'd order the jacket size you normally do.Side note: if you're concerned about getting a size for both autumn/spring & winter months, you can wear the jacket without the liner in milder weather without drowning in it. You can wear it with a sweatshirt or sweater & the liner and still have a comfortable fit.

The zipper is on the left?
This jacket had pretty good reviews, so I did not read them. But it showed up and the zipper was on the left, that was a hard no. Furthermore, I have an M65 in camo, in size large, so I wanted another in black. I saw that the original maker is now making them in China as well, so I can’t even get it made in the USA. I also thought that it was built to a spec, not true. My existing large fits perfectly. The ROTHCO I just bought in large fits perfectly, the Brandit in large is small. Especially in the bicep area and my arms are not exceptionally big. It is also small in the shoulders. I would not recommend.

OK, But Not Great
I'm 5'8, 185 lbs, and have three U.S. made M65 Field Jackets, all sized large regular. All fit great, as I take a 46 in the chest/shoulders. After reading all the reviews for this I purchased a large. It's a little longer than my USGI jackets, and as a lot of other reviewers have found, it's very tight in the chest/shoulders. I can wear it, and it looks fine, but I wouldn't use it out in the field if I needed maneuverability. Material seems to be of decent quality, although thinner than the old USGI items. Returning is a hassle as it has to go back to Europe. I also purchased a Brandit in XL, hoping for a better fit in the chest and shoulders. I found it fit almost the same as the large, that is, too tight for good movement in the shoulders.

Fitting..
Size ! That's the only issue buyers seem to have . I found reviews Uber helpful when ordering . I'm a 42 chest , 5'8 tall and just under 13 stone . I ordered a large which on me is about right to allow for a jumper when wearing in winter . The quilted inner liner is going to be great in cold weather but if you looking for a more fashion fit I agree with others here who say go a size smaller ! So for a more fitted look I would need a Medium without liner. Sleeves are a good length so being a little tighter across the shoulders would not be an issue for someone looking for a more fashion fitted look , bear in mind the jacket is a copy of a military coat which is a multi function item which is why the size is generous . I would class myself as average build for height , a 32 waist jeans is my fitting . The jacket itself is a very high quality item for the money and would recommend it to anyone. So to sum up read reviews on fitting but for my build a large if you plan to use the jacket as intended but a medium if you not bothered about having the liner in and looking for a slimmer fit 👍. This apart from colour is your only choice to consider as the quality, style and value for money are standard ! Hope this helps 😁

Tl;dr - Looks 'alright' but overpriced considering the poor build quality.
The overall look of this jacket is exactly what I'm after: a black M65 clone. That much you'll see from the sellers images (and my image 1). Where it falls down however is on the overall finish and build quality. The bottom elastic drawstring is just a piece of knotted black elastic cord (image 5) and the internal one for the waist is a cheap old boot lace (image 6). Now these are pretty minor complaints but it does makes the garment feel cheap which at just over £45 it isn't.The major issue I have with the build quality is the seeming lack of care in construction (as shown in images 3, 4 and 6) where stitching is poor with loose threads all over the place. If this is a factory second then fine, drop the price and more importantly, *say so*. But I suspect that one of the corners cut in rushing these out the door as fast as possible is in quality control...or the lack thereof. As for the fit, the sleeves have these weird triangle details that can be tucked away and held in place with velcro (image 6). I don't know if this was a feature on the original M65 but I feel it could have been omitted with no great loss to the look and much to gain by way of comfort as these catch your hands when you put the jacket on. Worst of all is on one side, the velcro patches aren't properly aligned so you can barely fix it in place at all! The quality of the vecro on the cuff adjustment is pretty bad as well. It wouldn't look out of place on a mid table camera bag.I suppose I should mention the liner (image 2) although full disclosure, I immediately took it out as I never use these. I always wear a hoodie or jumper of my own should the weather demand it. So imagine my annoyance when it turns out this is the best made part of the whole damn garment! Sure, the sleeve to body seam is visible and the overlocker pattern is a bit ugly but come on, it's a *liner*. That I can forgive. What I can't forgive is the poor material choices on key details where it seems low price over quality was prioritised and the awful stiching all over the place. At £30 I would have griped about the finish and said 'fine, you get what you pay for'. At over £45, you don't.

Sizing guidance
Just received it. Not yet worn in anger so can't comment on performance but first impressions of the materials, build quality and style is excellent; good sturdy brass zip, strong stitching and, although I've never seen a genuine m65 to compare it to, the material seems more than adequate considering it's a reproduction/fashion item..I'm expecting a few year's service from it. I can, however, comment on the sizing: I am a fairly average Large size male that takes a large in most clothes. Neck to waist 19.5", inside arm 20", chest 43", waist 34" with a slight gut. However, I decided to order a medium in this jacket. I'm glad I did. The sleeves are perfect with the tip of the hand protector just sitting on my top knuckles, the fit (with liner in) is just enough to allow for most casual movements and to feel comfortable but still give a fitted, figure complimenting appearance. The bottom seam just sits level with the bottom of the buttocks. If worn with liner there wouldn't be any room for a midlayer, just a t-shirt, but since I only wanted it as an Autumn/Spring jacket, it's perfect. It also gives me the option to remove the liner and use the outer as a shell over a hoody or on it's own. It's an awesome looking bit of kit and well worth the price.
