GTW 6" Double A-Arm Golf Cart Lift Kit for Club Car Precedent Gas/Elec 2004-Up

I installed this lift on my 2008 Precedent electric cart a few days ago. I took my time and triple checked everything, and total install probably took me 4 hours.Just bought the cart a couple weeks ago, and it needed all new bushings, i bought this lift rather than just doing the bushings.Install went smooth, no fitment issues, instructions are kind of vague in spots, but i fumbled through.Had a little trouble with getting the camber set correct. Ended up screwing the upper heim joints all the way in, and am still a bit cambered out at top. Not going to worry about it, but it seems the lower heim joints needed to have more threads so i could push bottom out more.Once installed and aligned, the cart drives nice. Smooth ride, not too rigid, seems better than before, though bushing were all shot before. I'm running the small tires at this point still, looks dumb, will get some 22" or 23" later on. I do notice the tires scrub quite a bit when turning tight, but that may be partially due to the tires being small (the lift is designed to run bigger tires, and has scrub radius setup as such)Its worth noting that I kept the stock rear springs rather than buying Heavy Duty. I didn't want a rough ride, and don't plan on hauling too much weight, especially in offroad applications. I'm happy with the setup now.This review is on 5/15/2020, will update in future if I have any issues or other feedback.

The kit came with good instructions on how to install the kit and was very easy to install. There are plenty of videos on Youtube that walk you through the process. My kit came with additional rear bracket to use with heavy duty leaf springs. I didn't think about this, but it makes sense. The heavy duty leaf spring actually raise the rear end without a lift kit. The additional bracket were 2" lower and they were perfect, otherwise my cart would have been raked forward.I used 12" rims with 23" tires. This really gets the cart up in the air and I was worried it wouldn't make it in the garage, but I just cleared. It still rubs ever so slightly as I pull in and out. My suggest is measure before you lift. Measure the height of your cart and add 6" for the lift. You will also need to add for the additional tire height. I think my original tires were 18.5", so (23" - 18.5)/2 = 2.25" of additional lift from the tire height for a total of 8.25" of total lift.

The lift took about 3 hours to install. The instructions made the install smooth with step by step and photos to go along with it. Lift turned out great. The ride is better than it was at stock.

Overall installation went well. It took me 4/5 hours to do at a reasonable pace. I did although have two grease fittings that came with the upper / lower a-arms break off. This was using two separate grease guns. I had to use an extractor to remove the two that broke. I decided to replace all of the grease fittings with new ones from the hardware store. Aside from that, the quality is nice and the instructions were mostly clear.

Love the 6" lift kit on my 2012 Club car precedent. Was easy to install and had great written and in color instructions also. It took about 4 hours or a little more having never installed one before plus about 3 hours for alignment . Would be much faster next time I am sure. Just a note and not a complaint, I have 14 x 10 x 23 " tires and originally I used the shorter of the two rear axle lifts as directions said to do because I also intalled hd rear spring at same time. I has to remove these and install longer lifts because when I had rear passengers tires would rub when on uneven ground or cornering. No problem after installing longer rear lifts. It does lift the rear of cart slightly towards front which I think looks fine.

Great service, fast shipping and great price. Had one minor issue with item and they quickly resolved. Excellent company to deal with.

Directions made this easy

Overall easy install. Directions weren’t always labeled correctly but the pictures helped. As others have said, the heim joints are dangerously short. I will be checking them periodically as there is barely enough threads to bolt onto. Even then I am not able to perfectly adjust the camber. Those are expensive to replace at $30-40 each so that takes away from the value of the kit. To replace them puts you in a price point of a better built kit. Kit comes with a second set of rear blocks to use if you have had springs, but this isn’t mentioned anywhere on any literature provided. Make sure you have a grease gun before you install as the a arms don’t come preloaded. Overall it’s okay, price was decent, but the heim joints should be voluntarily replaced by the manufacturer for safety reasons.***Edit***Leaving original review so my initial issue is preserved as well as this edit to show how it worked out. My original review was with stock tires. I did not think about where the suspension would sit with different size tires. I have since installed 14” rims with 23” tires. With this setup I needed to adjust the camber once again but this time in the opposite direction. The lower heim joints now have adequate thread going through the nut and is installed safely and with a perfect camber. Much happier with the setup now and would have no hesitation to recommend this setup.

This 6" lift kit came with everything for the lift except the front wheel hubs. Even the blue lock tight and new nylock bolts and nuts.There was no instructions but I found that if you can take it apart you can easily install this kit with no problems.A measuring tape is all that's needed to redo proper wheel alignment.I recommend new rear suspension to compliment the lift kit.One thing. It took a bit more than a month to receive the kit.
