My son LOVES this book
My son LOVES this book. He struggles with his school readers since he is not interested in the subject matter. He was so excited about this book that he reminded me that it was time to read. I think it is a bit more advanced than most other level 1 readers. There were a lot of long and compound words. It worked out for us since my son is in the first grade and a pretty good reader.

Great pictures, so-so dialogue
This isn't really a story-book. It's pages of character profiles of all the Lego Movie characters, which is cool, but given the level of reading (level 1, for a 4-5 year old), a story that engages them would be better. But if your kid liked the lego movie, they'd like this, I think...

Pretty ok
Maybe level 1 means that beginner readers cannot read these; instead, they're good for parents to read to younger, aspiring readers... because the words and too hard for a kindergartener to read. This is non-fiction, I guess... describes characters, not so much telling a sequential story. My kid likes that, so that's ok. For my kid, the Step 1 to Reading reading or something like that are better at this level. BOB and Learn to Read Tug the Pup type books are the best for very-beginner readers.

Good but short
My Grandson loved reading this story. He found some words challenging since he is only going into first grade but tried to read them all with no help from me. I would have given it more stars if it was a little longer.

Enjoyable reading for boys
Great for young readers. I bought this for my son who started reception. His vocabulary has increased and he enjoys reading now. He routinely picks these books up from his shelf and reads to me. He finds the stories enjoyable. They are different levels and different super heroes books. They encourage reading. I bought a few at level one and a few at level two.

Pequeño pero bueno.
Cumple perfectamente su cometido, que es iniciar a los niños a la lectura en inglés. Son frases sencillas. Además con la temática de la LEGO movie despierta más su interés.Recomendable.

Junk
It's not a great early reader. Many words are beyond an early reader. Plus, it's not a story. It's more factual.

Just in time
This book did take a couple of weeks for delivery, but probably as the film's just been released. It is listed as a Level 1 DK reader, although quite a lot of words and some fairly difficult. The upside is the illustrations and the fact that anyone interested in Lego or the Lego Movie will want to try and read or have it read to them

Really brilliant for reluctant readers
I bought this book as my son who is learning to read was mad about the Lego Movie. He had been reluctantly reading school books, but this book he really wants to read! The pages are clearly laid out - with a page per character and some basic sentences about each character. Had to help him a few times with long words, but he was keen to read!
