Xiem Tools Ultra-Soft Silicone Clay Rib for Pottery and Ceramics (Small), Green

It's hard to imagine how soft/firm these ribs are when you order online, so if that's why you're in the comments I'd say these are closest to a giant gummy bear. Like, not a super-soft brand of gummy bears but not a dried out one either, lol, and it's definitely firmer than a gummy worm because it stays straight when you hold it horizontally, but it is softer and thicker than the silicone ribs I've used in my community studio. They seem sturdy and are a great price, but there is a bit of a seam on mine that I don't love, so I hold it at a low angle and use the rounded edge to smooth out my seams and bottoms. Because of the softness, I have to apply some pressure to smooth the grit back into the clay.

Love this tool! Great for throwing bowls and it’s a good length. I was surprised by how soft and limber it is but i’m glad bc it works great for what I needed

This is my favorite tool for throwing. You can use it to gently smooth sides , compress clay, and I love to use it on my bowls to get rid of that beginner like a third the way up. (I actually use it from the rim in to the center to shape the inside curve of the bowl for a more graceful curve.) I also use it to put any transfers onto my wet clay. Finally, when I'm trimming, I use it to smooth the line from where you trim to where you can't because you had clay holding your bowl to the wheel. All in all, a great little tool!

Great rib, flexible enough to bend to your piece's shape, but strong/rigid enough to compress the clay and hold it's shape.

I should have read the description more carefully - this is an ultrasoft rib, but it gets the job done!

The small little silicone, very flexible rib works wonderful in the formation of bottoms of coffee cups and small bowls in the soft clay.

I found this too soft to work with while throwing on the wheel. It makes a great teether for my grandson though. :)
