More Value Less Money
I'm very pleased with my purchase. I bought this cd used in order to save money and still get what I wanted. And I already knew that Amazon was my only trusted and best option. I am a huge Black Label Society fan but I'm also "Old School" and wanted the physical version of this album which is probably my favorite. I can't really lock down 1 because Zakk Wylde is a very gifted musician who works his behind off. About a week ago I attended a Zakk Sabbath (Black Sabbath tribute) concert in Cincinnati, Ohio. The man played for almost 2 hours straight! However, this purchase was very meaningful because I opened the cd and there was a military photo of Zakk's dad which I had never seen before. And that in itself along with the music and artwork brings everything full circle no matter what price is paid. You don't experience that from music downloads. There was a cosmetic defect of a small crack but no other issues. I am happy with my purchase and the quality and value Amazon provides. Thank you!

1 of the best BLS albums.Super heavy & a must own !
The 3rd studio BLS album, but the 4th if you include their Alcohol Feuled Brewtality Live cd(released after 2 of their studio albums) and it is a wicked heavy slab of metal. This is a definite 5*star album and a must have album for any BLS or metal fan, this baby takes heavy to a whole new level. The album starts off with Bleed for Me which is gotta be 1 of the heaviest album starters on all the BLS albume, super heavy & super catchy. The groove just slams with wicked intent & pulse pounding drums & groove thick bass,a super heavy track to bang your head too.Lords of Destruction is another staple in the catalogue of BLS with insane guitar work & wicked guitar solos.Demise of Sanity is yet another BLS staple that has great drum and bass, along with the excellent solo break in the middle of the song. Amazing vocal structure,Zakks voice is absolute top notch.Life,Birth,Blood,Doom is so damn crunchy with a bell tolling in the background, paired with some amazing guitar dueling and crunchy basslines powered behind super hard-hitting drums. The album goes a tad slower paced with Bridge to Cross which is somewhat reminiscent of Rust from Stronger than Death, the song is such a slow & doomy brooding and sad almost ballad-ish style song. Sadness, heaviness, and depression all balled into 1 amazingly heautiful song,it is 1 of my all time favorites on the disc. Battering Ram is where the album picks back up with the heaviest riffage, super fast drumming & bass that is super heavy and distorted like hell. Speedball is another guitar interlude like T.A.Z. or Takyllia, which is pretty damn fast considering it is acoustic...but it just slows up for about a minute.Graveyard Disciples is a raw distorted song which has brooding bass and evil lyrics, paired with dual guitars and solos.Genocide Junkies is another BLS staple that is incredibly heavy and has excellent drum patterns & catchy lyrics paired with booming bass.Lost Heaven is another mid paced song that has beautiful elements of drums paired with guitar that blends so well with the lyrics & makes a beautiful song.Refuse to Bow Down is a bit of an odd song that never really gets played much at concerts but it is a slower doomy track that has a great bass & guitar arrangement.Mass Murder Machine is like a wicked heavy song that just grinds ahead with amazing guitar and vocals, pair that with Zakks unique voice and some tight drumming.Berserkers is a great song that grinds with great precussive power and insane guitar work, the song remains a greatest hit in the BLS live shows. The album ends with America the Beautiful which Zakk strums out on his electric & it is so beautifully done. The song was done i'm assuming for his father,as well as his country cuz his dad died. The album is dedicated to his father & titled because his old man was born in 1919 & his memory is eternal. This is by far 1 of the heaviest albums by BLS with almost every song being an instant classic and a favorite amongst myself & fans of the Society. If you like Zakk & BLS or are somewhat new to the band i would suggest you grab this heavy album & Sonic Brew and/or Stronger than Death....hell grab all their albums because there all great pieces of metal history. You will not be disappointed by this album, the artwork is tight also. This album remains 1 of my top 3 favorite BLS albums ever, all the songs are wicked heavy. Almost as distorted as the Sonic Brew album but this album remains 1 of the staples in the career of BLS.GO BUY IT & CRANK IT TO THE MAX !!!

4 Stars, possibly a 5 in time
At first listen, no stand out tracks, but each one in its own right is solid: most tracks have Zack in full rock mode while a few reflect his mellow side. All have BLS' trademark guitar riffs.A worthy addition to the collection, and one I would have no hesitation in recommending.

Lo metto al secondo posto dopo Blessed hellride e Sonic brew e davanti a Order of the black.Ma quando si parla di BLS è difficile fare classifiche: tutti validi, nothing new under the sum ma grandi album.Brano preferito di questo? Bridge to cross, cantautorale , lirico, pieno di pathos,

Rock On
Bliss, just pure bliss. Puts me in a great mood listening to classic hard riffs. Already bought four of the groups albums and this comes from someone really picky on what he buys for music.
