Dorfman Pacific Co. Men's Forever Weathered Cotton Cap

The cap is a GLOSSY material like a shiny silk that looks like something worn by girls in the DISCO DAYS. Looks like you rubbed vasoline on your cap. And the material is PAPER-THIN, again, like it was made out of silk neck tie material. NO AT ALL LIKE THE WASHED DENIM TYPE DEPICTED IN THE PHOTO . EMBARRASSED TO WEAR IT IN PUBLIC. Probably would look great on a teenage girl if she added some glitter or bedazzled it!!

I bought one of these hats from a marina in Maine about 10 years ago. It turned out to be my favorite baseball cap - and I have a lot of hats! Earlier this year, I left it in a restaurant, and when I went back, it was gone. I was crushed.Now that the quarantine is lifting, I needed another waxed cotton hat. I was thrilled to find the same hat on Amazon. It arrived today, and while many things get cheaper over time, this hat is a bit nicer than the original from ten years ago. I am so happy with it.The hat comes with some wax, but it does not hurt to add a bit more so it is waterproof. I did it once a year or so with the old hat, and I will give this one a quick touch up this evening. If you keep it waxed, it will stay waterproof.One weird thing. I ordered the hat on Saturday. It was supposed to be delivered on Tuesday. I got an email Tuesday morning telling me the order was cancelled due to lack of inventory. I immediately went to the Amazon site and ordered another, and it arrived this afternoon, two days after ordering. So who knows what goes on in Amazon's computers?

I originally purchased this cover 4 years ago, in a Fairbanks, AK leather shop.I am extremely rough on my clothing, and my hats are no different. To say this hat can hold up to abuse would be an understatement.I purposely sought out where to find another identical, and I was elated when I came across it here.Comfortable fit, perfect height and great colorOne gripe, and why I docked it a Star:52% Cotton - 48% Polyester. It's even titled "Weathered --COTTON-- Baseball Hat..." -- gotta love our Labeling laws.A little misleading, in my opinion. I guess My Apple, which is ~80% water is not an Apple at all... it's a "Shiny Water Fruit by Apple Tree (Red)"The first few times sweating in a 1/2 poly hat sucks in that it leaves a 'rash' on your forehead.. this eventually goes away.--Otherwise, great hat.

Like all Dorfman Pacific products, this cap is well made of superior materials. Yeah, it's a bit higher priced than some, but ask me in a few years, and I'm still wearing it, was it worth the money.

The bill is not sewed on straight. Fabric is not as heavy as I thought it would be, and “weathering left it with a bleached out splotch front but off center where the cap meets the bill. Maybe it’s made to wear backwards?

I have several of these hats in different colors (grey, black, and blue) and will probably buy more in the future. I sweat a lot and use these as work hats and they have really held up well.

I found one of these hats while at Lake Powell a few years back. Loved it so much I searched the part number all over the place and was ecstatic then I found it here. I have bought 2 more sense, because they are great hats, I have a small head and it's very hard to find a good fitting hat. I have used these as work hats (I'm a remodel electrician), lake hats, and every day hats. They are all very durable, I've only had one of them break on me, the back buckle broke because I used it to kill 1 too many insects. But that was my first one and it lasted over 2 years of almost daily use and abuse.

I have purchased the same style of Dorfman Pacific Co. (DPC) hats for years and the design of the DPC hats I just received are different and do not fit or look the same at all. The quality is not as nearly as good as it used to be and the obvious changes to the overall design makes the not fit right and looks awful. They were oversized than the original design. I will never buy them again.

Its a good sturdy ballcap. It isn't super deep, so big melons like mine aren't gonna get a really snug fit. But if you have a big head, you probably expect it. The bill is strong. It feels good.

my 2nd dorfman cap. the first one is 20 years old and i still wear it daily.the new one looks great and fits well.
