Side By Side, Book 3 (Workbook)

Love the Workbook because it is very comprehensive because it includes reading, writing, grammar review and vocabulary review, listening comprehension and speaking. Colorful and includes themes from all over the world. Very international and that is what you want when teaching people from all parts of the globe.

The book was in excellent condition, almost brand new. We can erase the answers written in pencil very easily. Thank you. I like the side By Side Series because it is well written, and teaches good, American English.

I work with Japanese families living in the USA for about 5 years while their husbands work at a Japanese auto plant that also employs about 300 local people. The children and the mothers want to speak English as they become friends with their neighbors. The Side by Side books work very well for helping them learn common converstaions and bringing up many other subjects to discuss.

The author has a sense of humor. The illustrations are fun. The format is great. I teach English in Nicaragua, mostly one-to-one. My students enjoy working with these books. I find them very helpful.

Si super, en muy buenas condiciones

While tutoring an adult man in English (ESL), I found this book to be of some help. At least it gave him an "assignment" to do for homework and a consistent format on which to focus for part of our sessions. There are better resources available online and from our local library, online also.

I am an English teacher, I use these books with my students. The workbooks and the textbooks are both great.

Best series for teaching English to my Korean students. Logical progression and with workbook reinforces every lesson. Highly recommend it.

Great resource. Vocabulary can be used on a daily basis. Good for tutor & student. Ample amount of practice in different forms.

自分でやってみて、昔学習したことが自分のものになっていなかったことに気が付きました。その意味ではこのワークブックはかなりの優れものだと思います。正解が巻末にでもあれば自己評価が確実に出来るのでもっと良かったと思います。ただし、グループで学習するのでしたら正解はグループで検討すればよいのですから、これでよいかと思います。

Side by Side シリーズは教科書だけでも学習を進めることはできるのですが、繰り返しの練習で英語をより身近にするにはワークブックと共に練習するほうがよいでしょう。教科書に出てくる表現を色々なシチュエーションでさらに繰り返し練習でき、単に言葉を入れ替えるだけではなく「自分で考える」練習もあちこちに入れてバリエーションをつけています。教科書同様、ひとりでの学習ではなく英会話のクラスで使うことをお勧めします。
