Grandpa's Fortune Fables: Fun stories to teach kids about money

A brilliant, absorbing, easy to follow book to introduce kids to important concepts related to money
I bought this to read with my older 2 of 3 kids aged 8 and 6 years old, having been gradually introducing them to basic financial concepts as well as starting a money tracker which has gone down really well with saving, spending, and donating the money they earn for doing certain things. One thing I wanted to work on was their understanding of money including saving, investing, risks etc. Not expecting them to absorb it all but just to start the conversations. It was incredibly easy for them to follow and the questions at the end of each chapter generated some interesting chat and some really insightful views which took me by surprise.Certainly one I have and will continue to recommend to others.

Unlike any other book
A great range of financial education lessons for both me and my 7 year old son. Covers investing in a digestible manner for kids and what they are not taught in schools.During the course of the book, my son's 1st tooth fell out. The tooth fairy kindly gave him £10, and he decided to invest all of it. Fantastic outcome!Grear work Will Rainey, we would definitely buy a follow up.

Must have book for every family!!!!
This book is not only for kids but adults learn from it too.The basics of finance and wealth journey explained in simple stories. My 7 and 10 year old kept begging for more. They would have read the whole book in a day if they had their way.It also raised lots of interesting conversations!!! If you are pondering if you buy it or not, don’t think twice. It is life changes. A lot of the info on the book I found out in my 40s!!! Imagine if I have had all that info at a young age!!!! We cannot thank you enough! I have recommended it to friends and family too!!!

Fantastic book - held my son spellbound!
Bought the book for my son after seeing the authors post on a different platform. Once my son started reading, he didn't really want to put the book down at even at bedtime. Had to encourage him he could pick up later the following day after school. Will certainly recommend to anyone interested in teaching their children about money (a must for every parent or anyone who has young people in their lives) and I will be getting a turn to see what new wisdom can be gleaned for adults!

Great book for teaching kids positive money habits.
Having just started a new pocket money system with our 8 year old, this book was a great way to discuss how money works and instill positive money habits. The ideas in each chapter are simple to grasp but also gave me, as the parent, pause for thought over my own financial habits. The characters are well written and each story/fable had a clear message. The discussion questions and code to break after each chapter also add an extra element to promote further conversation beyond the story. I highly recommended this book, the earlier children learn these basic principles of wealth the better!

Great book not only for kids
If you've ever been afraid of money or never have enough if it, read this book to find out why. And to learn how not to be afraid and the have some. Full with financial and behavioural tips, this book explains in a simple way our attitudes towards money, how to correct them and how to make, save and invest. I bought it for my son, but I read it first and now I am planning to get a copy for all my friends with children for Christmas.Someone had to say it - well done, Will, for doing that!

Engaging and cleverly written
Currently reading Grandpa’s Fortune Fables to the younger of my two children after the older one thoroughly enjoyed and engaged with it. The content the main principles of savings and investments in an engaging and interactive way whilst also touching on various other issues for children to think about (including managing bullies and having a growth mindset about what can be achieved). Really good book. Hope it appears in many stockings this Christmas.

Inspired my 7 y/o daughter to start saving and investing
The book is written in a very accessible way for a young audience to grasp the principles of money management and investing. It uses the analogy of planting seeds to grow trees which, in time, yield more fruit & seeds which you can plant to increase the size of your forest. Using something tangible like this that children can understand really helped the penny to drop easily for my 7 y/o daughter. The story itself is also very engagingly written and is an enjoyable read in its own right.
