It took me about an hour to assemble. There were a few moments of frustration, but patience paid off. I’m proud of myself. The shelves are large enough to hold my size 7 shoes and would be fine for larger. I have to lay my rain boots flat on their sides. The side pockets aren’t terribly useful because they’re small. I can’t fit regular shoes in the pockets, only flip flops. One shoe per pocket. The “cloth” is not firm, but good enough. I strongly prefer this type of rack over a metal one.

This does the job i needed it to do. It hold my shoes and gives me more space in my closet. the side pockets are nice for flip flops, little sandals, slippers or flats. it isn't to flimsy, but not super sturdy either. I wouldn't move it around too much. It was difficult to put together, but in the end it works.

We are using this to store my son's large fire trucks, garbage trucks, monster trucks, etc. It takes a lot of abusive (pulling trucks off, jamming them back on) and is holding firm. The side pockets were almost impossible to get on (the Velcro doesn't encircle the poles correctly) so we don't use them.
