Great for basement appliances
I used this to replace a set of surge protectors for my whole-house water processing system and my tool desk. The yellow makes it easy to notice when I need to plug something in but it's also heavy duty enough to get banged around. It's become like the electrical station on that side of my basement.

Nice workshop surge protector

A workshop surge protector should include GCFI as well. Not waterproof.Unit Not meant for outdoor work.Without researching and thinking it through, I bought it for using a corded reciprocating saw outdoors to prune back a greatly overgrown lilac bush and a crazy crab apple tree.I usually use my limited set power tools indoors and I've migrated to mostly cordless tools so i didn't have a workshop grade surge protector handy to take along outside. But my reciprocating saw was powerful and corded. So far this thing has done its job just fine. Cord is plenty long since I'm using an extension cord anyway. Material is metal and seems quite good but not rock solid; we'll see how it lasts. I like the Yellow Color as it easy to spot, and it says "People At Work." Its highly unlikely to be used for yet another piece of electronics entering the house, but who knows grandkids might really like worksite yellow. In retrospect I should have gotten a Surge Protector with GFCI. GFCI an electrical circuit designed to disconnect the conducting wires ("trip") quickly enough to prevent serious injury from electric shock. Bear that mind when using Corded electric devices outside, near water, etc. Once I realized my error I bought a short worksite 15 Amp Auto Reset Inline GFCI Extension Cord. A combo unit would have cheaper, more compact and just as useful, but I didn't want to hassle sending this surge protector back especially during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Also, while I don't plan to work in the rain sometimes it comes unexpectedly. So, it's best to keep in mind that the unit is not waterproof so one might want to get a waterproof over box if that's a possible issue. (I put this under a large table.) If things get wet a GFCI should just kick in (If you add one.)

Excellent! Absolutely Love It!
After trying 2 other models of surge protector, I ordered this one. Now, I've read in several different reviews repeatedly not to use surge protectors together with space heaters. Unfortunately, I have no other choice at this time. This surge protector is made of aluminum, unlike the others I used which were heavy plastic. When I use my space heater (only 1), this SP doesn't get hot. The other, plastic ones did and actually melted. When the heater is not in use, I plug several other items into it and, again, it doesn't get hot. When I need the heater, it is the ONLY item I plug into it while it's in use. I've monitored this for the few weeks now and I'm very happy with the results. More importantly, I feel safe! Also, I like the cord length but if I don't need it, the SP has a kind of hook at it's 4 corners where you can place the excess cord length to make it shorter.

Works fine, but can't mount it to the wall
It would be nice if this came with screws to mount it to the wall. It has the slotted holes in the back, but I have tried about a dozen different types of screws and none will properly fit in those holes. Drywall screws are too large of a diameter head. Sheet metal screws have too thick of a head, and despite trying several different sizes, I can't even find a flat headed screw that will work. It's not very convenient in my shop to not be able to securely mount it.

Works great in my workshop!
I chose this power strip because of surge protector and constructed with an ETL (an independent testing laboratory) rated, metal housing. I am concerned about cheaper strips shorting, melting, and burning my house down or ruining my equipment. I feel that this is a quality product and have been using 3 of these items for well over a year.
